So how does this all apply outside of a social construct? I have to ask you if you know what a social construct is? Because everything mentioned in this video pertains to one. This is just informing us on how to live within a social construct and how to be divided from everyone else which is what mental and physical slavery is all about. Isolating one from others makes them easy prey for a nation of conquers.

I sometimes do that, especially when I'm going through the mountains from Portland oregon to bend oregon. There's a stretch where no cell service, so my radio goes away. Which is cool bc I love hearing my car against mountain faces when I'm going through 3rd-5th gears. 6th is too low and don't have long stretches to even get into 6th gear. My car weighs less than 3k pounds ( even with me in it). My 08 g37s coupe 6mt is one of the funnest cars to drive that I've ever owned.

To my experience, most people are toxic. It is not on purpose. It is just that they don't recognize it themselves. I have learned that it is useless to tell them. Everybody needs to discover this for themselves. As I did over the last nine years. Since then my life has drastically changed. Detatching myself from people and "stuff" has made me a wiser, more balanced person. Living alone is not always easy but being among toxic people is impossible. When I watch this video it strikes me how I have discovered myself to live according to Musashi teachings. My life has become one great experiment. I love it. I am looking forward to what life has in store for me next.

I love being alone. Ive been asked countless times from other people, "why are you so quiet? Why are you shy? Come over and talk to us." I understand why theyre saying that and i dont blame them. But i find a lot more peace, enjoyment and fulfillment in spending time alone, working on my art, while everyone else talks and wastes their breath. Being alone is a blessing. I also think having less / no friends is better. The only friends that matter is family as they are much less likely to ever leave you. Ive lost amazing 12-13 year long friendships and i have never have felt more free in my life. Im not saying to break up with all your friends but instead to only keep the ones that matter. Bad / meaningless friendships steal from your life while good ones add to it.

Back in my early teens I was just admiring musashi for his combats and the name he left behind. Just because I found him cool I tried to study his 21 principles and failed miserably, I didn't even understand a godamn thing😂😂. But now I can understand his each principles and their meaning and I can pretty much relate his every principle to my current life. The thing I am trying to say is, through the recent years and all the things in which I failed and lost to external things had taught me to understand the way of philosophy. "those who never suffered in life, can never understand philosophy" -by me.

@@Jeriel_Lux Your comment reminded me of a children's joke that goes like this: Two shipwrecked, one male and the other female arrived on a tinny, tinny deserted island with a single coconut tree. They were very hungry and it happened to appear a floating metal box from the kitchen of the ship. They opened it and inside there was a perfectly, fresh and edible stew of garbanzos. The man started chewing fast but the girl did not touch the food. The man asks her "Why don't you eat? and she says with a gesture of repulsion, "There is a hair in it".

As a trucker, I learned to be a loner, and I have so much time to think. Knowing I have the option to call or text people at any time, let me relax. I can go weeks just being with myself and when the need strikes me I can call family and friends to talk to I can do that. I'm not truly alone just that being alone means having no issue to deal with. I have very little stuff while I drive around, which helps keep me organized. It's not bad to learn to live alone , it is just not for everyone.

As a child and teen my family treated me as a bit of an outsider becauae I was an introvert and loner. They took my need to br alone in my room personally. It destroyed me. I wasn't doing anything wrong. I ended up feeling like something was wrong with me and suffered from depression anxiety and low self esteem. Now 48 years old and still a loner and a homebody but I learned to understand over 20 years ago that this is my journey and I feel most at peace when I'm alone.

Solitude has taught me so much, and I do get asked alot, why don't you ever feel lonely? But I never have felt that way, it's taught me to master my own emotions and not to think too far ahead and not too far back, it's given me great mental strength, which sadly is how I lost my brother 13 years ago, he had great physical strength but no mental strength, I found a healthy medium, I miss him but haven't grieved like others around me who have completely debilitated there lives, which I feel great empathy for, but he would not like me or others around me that love him to be consumed with soul stopping sadness, for me it would not honour his memory to think that way, but I respect how those around me wish to grieve, the only thing I can put it down to is my mental resolve from solitude, and I know not everyone can do it, thankyou for this video you've made me reflect on my thinking and the thinking of others around me

I really enjoyed this video. As an artist, solitude is essential to the production of creative endeavors. I have not read the Dokkodo, but I have read the book of five rings, which is another one of Musahi's writings, and I highly recommend it as well. In the end, it seems like the only thing we truly have control over is ourselves, so why not evolve into the best self that we can achieve.

Someone told me about the book of 5 rings. He gave me the rundown of who he was detailing some of his battles with other warriors. He said he used deception and got in his opponents heads. One story being he showed up late in the afternoon when he had told a challenger to meet him on an island early in the morning causing his opponent to be furious by the time he showed up hours later. As the opponent approached him angrily as he was docking his boat he turned around and beat him to death with an oar. That's pretty brutal. Is that accurate? I would definitely like to read the book.

Loneliness itself is like pain, a signal of something within that needs to be healed. Aloneness is required to align, integrate and reflect universal foundations without being sidelined by disruption. The presence of distraction itself is a signal mechanism, like pain, indicating there exists opportunity to mature. Aloneness is a fundamental art form that must be mastered within before it can produce its fruit in the world. Aloneness requires the sacrifice of everything, yet when all else is as nothing, there comes the paradoxical revelation that nothing can be lost in the experience of presence alone.

No, they find in the end that they have been deceived by Satan, and that Jesus was right all along. Its just too late at that point. They believed the lie of Satan that he deceived himself with, then our first parents Adam and Eve, that they could be like God (your cosmic consciousness), instead of Receiving Christ as their Saviour for their sins and receiving forgiveness of their sins and eternal life with the Lord tht created them.

About to turn 23 and two years ago I thought that moving back in with my parents after college was the end of my life. It was a major punch to my ego. I left nyc to come back to a small town with nothing. I was burnt out from the bustling city. The rat race was suffocating, I was betrayed my my closest friend, taking our business and turning the other friends on me as well. At first it was crushing and I didn’t want to do anything except stay inside. Then I realized nothing can change unless I do something. So it started slowly with going to the gym and figuring out new business ideas. It was hard building a routine, I was so used to instant gratification in nyc but slowly with consistency I build tangible results in my physical body, mind and environment. I became comfortable with being alone. There was no choice but to. I started meditating and reading more. Two years later I’m completely almost completely financially independent and able to travel and have a purpose. I’m still not where I want to be but I know for certain I will get there. To anyone reading this, don’t give up. Results take time. Visualize what you want for your life, even if it feels unrealistic at the moment and unattainable just imagine it. Then make tangible goals that will lead towards that. Break it into chunks and make smaller goals that will ultimately make up the staircase leading to the ultimate one. No matter what you want in this world, if it’s positive then it’s your birthright to attain it. If it’s material, mental or spiritual, attain it! Don’t give up, don’t become complacent either. If there’s a burning desire in your heart for something, something that fills you with energy when you think about it, then you have to do it. Don’t let money distract you, it’s just a means to get things in this materialistic world. Don’t let it consume you, don’t chase it, chase what your heart is calling out for. Don’t let the flame of your heart distinguish because you fulfill what you knew all along you were supposed to. Like musashi asked himself. Why was I born into this world? Go and find out.

It's an enlightening contrast reading a book in your depression inducing light-lacking room compared to walking a few steps to outside to read the same book/ play the same games/ think about the same things . You would think that because of the lack of light, that your mind would easier be able to ignore the outside details other than the detail that you want to be focusing on such as the thing in front of you ,, in comparison to walking to the next room with sunlight surrounding everything illuminating everything to be noticable (ironically brain more being at peace and able to think better in the sunlit room).
