'The Wanderer, written by Ernie Maresca, was originally a number one hit by Dion di Mucci in 1961. UK hardrockers Status Quo recorded the song in 1984. It reached #7 in the UK charts, #7 in the German charts and #4 in the Dutch charts. Status Quo released more than 100 singles had more than 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock band. In this recording made by Toppop the band featured original founder Francis Rossi and frontman Rick Parfitt who died on 24 December 2016.

I used to knock Status Quo as a three chord chancer band until I saw them play live at the tennis stadium in Dubai. They rocked my socks off and the high degree of professionalism in the playing totally changed my opinion of them. As a guitarist in a cover band, I know that the opening bars of any Quo song will fill the floor - except In The Army Now - and that gets them singing along.
