I wonder how many Green telecaster Rossi had? I used to know a techie that worked for the band but never actually talked about that kind of stuff. It was more the crazy stuff they got up to.

That D-Tuna was a gift from a student. I believe you can get them from here www.dtuna.com/index.php. I believe they will work on a fender if it is a Floyd Rose. Maybe another Guitar Mate to answer this question to confirm?

Hi there, what would be the amp settings? I have a telecaster stile guitar with a vox 1
@GuitarMates4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark sorry for not replying sooner to your message concerning amp settings. This is always a hard question to answer. I always use a Eleven Rack for my sounds, and I am not familiar with the Vox 1 amp. However these are the setting that I have for my Quo sound. Over drive in a Tube screamer Drive 10pm Level 12 pm Tone 1pm I am using a Marshal 50 watt head settings Presence 10 Bass 2 Mid 3 Treble 10 Gain volume 4 Master Volume Graphic EQ Boost the mid range back of the Hi range Reverb is a small room level I didn't use anything else because in those early days of Quo they didn't use hardly any effects. Hope this helps you.
@fishaman1968shadow4 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarMates thanks for getting back I should have been clearer. It's a Vox VX1 practice amp. It's got a lot of amp for the money with lots of effects. I've been told to cranck the power and gain up,but still can't get that parffit sound.And let's face it the music was better in the 70s on . And they never had the gear then as now. More Status quo please .👍

Hi. Great lesson, thanks. What effects are you using for the intro and distorted parts please?
@GuitarMates5 жыл бұрын
Hi Meltdown 1 thanks for the kind comments, glad you enjoyed the lesson. Regarding the effects. All my sounds come from my 11 rack. The opening sections is my clean settings which is a Matchless DC-30 style sound Then into a compressor Delay is 435 ms 50% feedback 20% wet mix The Reverb set at Large Plate Then Chorus at a 0.13 ms rate, 16.2 ms depth, 50% mix Main section I just add Distortion set at 9pm on the distortion and a slight increase in the volume. Hope that helps If you haven't already done so , please consider subscribing to my channel. I always appreciate the support.

Hi Manuel, When I recorded this video I was using my 11 Rack and a preset that I put together. However I no longer use that and can't recall the actual setting. I am doing another Quo song in the coming weeks so I will post my setting I will be using for that lesson.

Not the way Rick played it. Cant say about Rossi as this lesson is focused on Rick. Not even sure where you would play the Dsus4 in the chorus. The chords are a D to F.

@ Jeff S I sincerely hope you get to see this I'm 66 , one year in on acoustic , self teaching , and power chords were , until now , Mission Impossible . 😲 Age means there's a bit of arthur itis setting into my fingers and my memory , well , I have no clue where I left it ... So, not the easiest instrument to learn - BUT when I set my (fractured) mind to anything , I always get there . My eldest boy ( plays in a group ) has given up ... I try to explain to him I have to do stuff my way , in my time , at my speed . Which I do . You have no idea the mish mash of notes / codes / explanations I use ( a psychiatrist's dream ) for each song I've learnt . It's like hiro hyreg ... drawings on the pyramid walls - utter gobbledigook to anyyone but me . And even I struggle at times . I've digressed again , haven't I .... So , here I am , learning Quo's W-Y-W and this genius teacher says just put your finger across the fret , then slide it up . And I've done it - without thinking - and it sounds really good . And I suddenly realise I've pulled off a bar chord ! And I'll be bug urd , but it makes the WHOLE damn song sooooo much easier to learn . So Thank You . Such an over used phrase . But that's all I've got . And , here's the rub , one day when you're having a less than good time & life's a chore Stop and think about all the pleasure and enjoyment you've given to so many people with your guitar playing ( which Im sure you take for granted ) along with the millions / billions out there in internet land who have learnt valuable lessons in guitar playing thanks to your ability and generosity of time . Best Wishes to you !
