To the guy who called about his wife wanting to fuck other women. I was in a very similar situation myself. We were together from almost the start of college, and it lasted for 11 years. Relationship started out normal, we were both just interested in each other. After a few years, she wanted to start experimenting with other women. It's not going to stop there. It's going to be turn into wanting to fuck other guys. Pretty much everything Stavros and Santino said was on point though. There's no saying no to what she wants. You can shoot it down for a while as I did, but the frustrations start affecting other aspects of the relationship. This is going to happen whether you want it to or not. And if you agree to it, it shouldn't be based on what gender the other people she's fucking are. Having kids together is another complicating factor. We didn't have kids so I can't speak from experience, but just do the math. There are going to be situations where she wants to go out to hook up with someone else, and SOMEONE will have to watch the kids. How is that going to make you feel? Maybe I'm just immature and insecure, but it'd make me feel emasculated. One practical piece of advice I'll try to give is, "rules" are going to come up inevitably when discussing this. The rules are either going to be from her, in an effort to appease you, or from you, in an effort to feel like you have some control of the situation. I encourage you to sit down with her and really think through the failure case of the rules. For example, "we have a rule about always telling me about who you're seeing, what happens if you end up not telling me about someone and I find out about it?". Explore that, lay out the options (eg, forgiveness x times, divorce, etc, w/e). If it was up to me, and this is extremely hard because you do actually love her (and she probably actually loves you too), talk to a divorce lawyer starting now and explain that your wife has expressed interest in opening up the relationship, and get their advice. I'm not saying get divorced, but ask the lawyer everything you should do in order to make a potential divorce go as smoothly as possible for you. Good luck!

If he can get rid of that possessiveness or get rid of the notion that his wife truly belongs to him, then he'll be good. It's all ego. Sharing doesn't change the love you have for a person. Either you love them or don't. Adding people is irrelevant because those relationships don't need to be compared just like with friendships.
