Thnx great video already own one and was considering x9000 but after reading couple of reviews opted out and bought a meze elite for a relaxed tonality and never looked back

Compared to sr-009s I would also call x9000 relaxed. I haven’t heard meze elite, only heard meze empyrean, which didn’t compete with any of these headphones imo.

The elite is close to susvara in detail retrieval and for a relaxed sound is perfect IMHO. I also own a modded L700mk2 with xb900 pads it sounds ethereal and out resolves the susvara easily I like to switch back and forth between sr009s and l700mk2 depending on mood but for an easy listen meze elite is my cup of tea not the most resolving but ticks alot of boxes and sounds good with all genres of music. What about audeze crbn can u add your opinion vs 009s and x9000 if possible thnx.

Recorded a CRBN video but didn’t post yet because I found out it is very energizer picky. It’s pretty nice but needs a very good energizer to sound nice. When I recorded my video it was just on weaker energizers it failed on weak stuff. I think I’ll just do a voice over disclaimer about the energizer.

Don’t demo Shangrila-sr on a high end chain or it will make you question if you really need a life savings.

@nyvoreviews5443 I already did at Canjam London in July lol. Nobody in my group actually liked it due to the treble presence and I had my CRBN with me to compare and both did a great job at a demo song I put on so it didn't change my life or anything. The Warwick Acoustics Aperio was a bit meh for my tastes and the HE1 was absolutely the best out of all the halo products when I had a chance to demo them at a dealer for a whole day.

@@Leon-lg7zmthe chain matters a lot for Shang. I heard it twice. Once at canjam so cal and the chain def didn’t do it justice. It sounded only slightly better than XS on that chain (this is the same chain goldensound heard it on, which is probably why he hasn’t praised it much either) then I heard it at a friends place with Dave and mscaler and 3es elite and it was much much better. I heard it with the Viva Egoista STX with the dCS Rossini with master clock at Canjam and we all thought the treble was too forward for our liking. Sennheiser are making a consumer estat headphone that will cost around £10k to be released alongside their HE1 successor which should be coming out in a couple years.

For you, which has better layering? Susvara or sr009s?

Highly depends on which amp Susvara is on. If sus in on a weaker chain then 009s easily wins, Susvara on the right amp does amazing things

Comparing to Susvara, I find the x9000 sounds thinner. Different tracks separates more easily on x9000. Does 009s do more of track separation than x9000?
@nyvoreviews544310 ай бұрын
I think it actually does. It places different sounds in different virtual spots, but the stage shape is not cohesive… another issue is the tonality is a bit more wonky on sr-009s. But I personally like sr-009s because I can look past the tonality issues and I like that it’s kind of a unique listening expeirnce. Perhaps after a few more weeks I might have been bored with it but I liked it while I had it…. Wasn’t until I tried Shang sr on a good chain that I decided I don’t want susvara or 009s anymore. 009s is similar to Shang sr but about half as good.

Do you play third party maps for Doom? I've seen some creative stuff here and there. One example is Total Chaos for Doom 2.

The game I’m pro at is Doom 2016. In that game the extra maps made by the community are not very good. There are a bunch of silly ones.

Would the sr-009 be good for gaming too? And what’s better about the sr-009 than the hd800s for gaming?
@nyvoreviews54432 жыл бұрын
I haven’t heard sr-009, but it should be good for sure. Sr009s is better at separating sounds than hd800s. With hd800s if there are two or more sounds coming from the same direction it’s hard to distinguish which sounds are there. There is also no layering with hd800s so it’s harder to tell which sound is closer and which sound is farther. 009s isn’t the best at layering either but it’s easily better than hd800s at layering. Hd800s pairs well with chord Qutest for gaming because the imaging is precise with that pairing.
