Dimebag Darryl was a verifiable force of nature born for the sole purpose of melting faces for a 250 ft radius of the stage. Probably one of the few guitarists in the world that can play the heaviest and angriest riffs ever recorded, to shredding the fretboard up like a classically trained mad man, and could still write and play music that could also make you sleep from the emotional efforts he puts into his non-distorted material. Forever a legend of the guitar and may he and his brother Vinnie Paul rest in peace knowing they made their mark, paved the way for many more to follow, and also brought other artists up with them. Very few artists ever get to break down political barriers, but when it happens the world should pay attention.
