“...we got all kinds of animals going on in the yard.” This just makes the serious part that much better. Thanks Matt!!

Tuesday was my daughter’s first session with her hitting coach in months! One of the main things they focused on was loading her back hip and internally rotating and driving her back knee down and forward after heel plant getting on her back toes rather than spinning. When I hit though, I think I just do a scap load when getting separated but I don’t think I ever thought about externally rotating my back hip for a hip load. Not sure if I’m exaggerating the move but it feels a bit awkward to me. Could just be my old hips...lol! Btw, my daughter had her first team practice yesterday as well! Thank God!

Hi Matt. Loving the videos, especially the loading ones. I am a 59 year old senior softball player, slow pitch (6-12') playing about 250 games per year for local, State and National teams. Consistent hitting is THE biggest issue for players and not staying back and not properly loading. Are there any tips that you would modify for the geezer softball versus collegiate fast pitch hitter?

Ok, after rewatching, I think it’s more of a pelvic rotation back, not hip external rotation. That’s why it felt uncomfortable trying to externally rotate my back hip because that’s not the correct action. I think I got it now. Thanks for a great tip Matt!

Great videos Matt, but if you could put the links into the descriptions to the videos you mention it would be great, especially with the vast amount of great content you give freely! Thanks for everything.

🥵😂 need some cardio buddy. I like the coiling examples of the top spin and the belt buckle. Easy for the kids to understand, especially my eight year old. Thanks again for the great content.
