Stay Local, For Great Photos

After a summer of chasing the Milky Way at any opportunity, its nice to slow down and stay local.
Chasing the Milky Way often meant 5 or 6 hour round trip drives and also 3 hours of walking, leaving home at 5pm and getting home at 5am. I absolutely love doing this, but it's nice to just walk down to the end of the road, only be out for a few hours. then be in bed by 11pm.
so in this video I stay within a few miles of home to capture some great images.
this little vlog is filmed on both my Nikon Z5 and Z50 using the 20mm f1.8g lens. The photographs are taken using the Nikon 24-50mm kit lens.

Good to just stay in and have more time to relax indeed 😁 chasing for the epic shots is cool, but some take a lot of time to nail, I also enjoy just exploring my neighborhood to find interesting pieces that I may have overlooked just because I always walk past it.

I agree Keith, it’s great to travel when you get the chance. But it is easy to forget what we have on our doorstep is just as good. When I travel around locally I am always looking, actually properly looking, what’s behind that wall, what’s that over there. How can I photograph the ordinary and make it look amazing.
