Updated 01/06/2021. Nevada's mining legacy goes back over 100 years. An estimated 50,000 potentially hazardous mines exist. These old mines may contain many hazards, any of which could cause injury or death. This video was produced as an educational tool to highlight the dangers in and around abandoned mines.
