The holiday of Halloween means a lot more than just candy, costumes, and festivities. The founder of the satanic bible and the church of satan said, “I am glad Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year.”
If you are a Christian, keep in mind that the values of Halloween are in complete opposition to that of the Christian faith. Halloween promotes darkness, death, and fear. In God is no darkness at all and as representatives of Him we should "abstain from every form of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5v22

This is a surprising message regarding Halloween thank you for speaking on this very important Spiritual lesson pertaining to Halloween. I'm not going to lie and act like I didn't celebrate Halloween as a child (my mom dressed me up like a clown) but, I never ever did Trick or Treat because mom never allowed me candy as a young child however, I did attend my school Halloween parties. It was while in 1st Grade and one maybe surprised by this source that inspired Me; I was moved by my fellow Jehovah's Witnesses classmates. I was going to school with them, They didn't participate in any of the holiday's including Halloween. I felt stirred in my soul that as fun of holiday it was Halloween might not be Fun for Jesus. so I came to my mom and told her I no longer wanted to celebrate Halloween because I didn't think Jesus want's it that way with Halloween. The day of Halloween I participated not in The School Halloween parade and to be completely True to myself mom picked me up Early so I wouldn't be in the classroom for The Halloween Party. An while I was in Middle School because it was an requirement I took Spanish I found out about the 3 day holiday of Dia de Muertoes English Day of The Dead observed in Mexico The first 3 day's of November it's a combination of The Spanish Conquistador's devout Catholic's brought All Saint's Day and combined traditions by the Aztecs/The Olmecs/& variety of Indigenous People's Culture Custom's and belief's co-mingle to create Day of The Dead. Perhaps you could do another message on why Christian's should not celebrate an similar Holiday liken Halloween, Day of The Dead? I was feeling somewhat anxious it really was anxious, I have just finished watching A Pastor discuss should Christian's be celebrating Halloween. He too did give the History of Halloween; how this Pagan Festival first got started and then He surprised Me; because He said He and his household did thing's a bit differently during Halloween. He felt that we who avoid Halloween aren't being very good witnesses as Christian's so what He and his Wife did when Trick or Treater's come by Their House is to Hand out Raisin's and small Bible Tract's. I think it's an awesome move on their part but I do at the same time I feel like doesn't this make us complicit in celebrating and ungodly Holiday?

I am ashamed that I always celebrated Halloween with my kids. They are all grown up, but they still gravitate to it. I have repented and got rid of anything dark in my home. I just wish I had done this when my kids were young. My youngest daughter is getting costumes for her two babies. I have told her I am done with Halloween, but she doesn't understand. 😢 Please send a prayer to the Lord about this.

We stopped celebrating Halloween when our son was diagnosed with leukemia and we were seeking God for what we needed to surrender to Him so He could move. He took us through a major cleansing of our home where even our older kids were getting rid of things. This was happening while my husband and I were fasting and praying for our son while I was in the hospital with him. The doctor said he had weeks to live without chemo. But God moved and the leukemia started to disappear before chemo started! Now, we no longer celebrate Halloween. We also got rid of our TV!

So true. Hundred if not thousands of dollars in decorations. Saw one yard have 3 of those 12 foot skeletons and werewolves. Those are $400 at lowes/home depot. My church would every year do a trunk or treat and a carnival. The way you explain it we can't redeem it and make it harvest day and have our kids dress up as angels. I noticed this year my church isn't doing anything, praise God it is not right, thank you for your truth.

I remember when I was a kid being so terrified of halloween. I was so scared, I refused to walk down the costume aisle in walmart or any store for that matter. My family would laugh at me, and tell me "its just costumes, you'll be fine". I would see other kids walking in the aisles and wonder how this stuff doesn't seem to bother them. When me and my family went trick or treating to this one house that had downright gory decorations, (mind you, i was only 6 years old) my dad had to carry me to their porch while my hands were over my eyes to get candy. I'm now 25 years old and this stuff still bothers me. People laughed at me but I'll never forget how traumatizing it was for me as a child. I will never let my kids celebrate halloween, no one should expose their children to his demonic holiday. God bless 🙏

You are completely right, my dear! You were only 6 years of age, and still understood the difference between the right and the wrong way ! Many adults still can’t recognize it; you carry the spirit of righteousness, may God always protect you from people who don’t carry the same spirit, but teach their children how to be ok with darkness; it’s just ‘fun time and kids love it’, as that sort would comment.. I struggled for a few years recently with the decision to not celebrate Halloween anymore because my youngest didn't understand why she couldn't dress up and get candy like everyone else. We had always done this until my relationship with God became stronger and my thoughts about Halloween changed. My final conviction that Halloween was not to be celebrated happened to me last year when God spoke to me confirming what I was feeling. Without going into a long story let me just tell you that a secured cross on my bracelet (one that I had been wearing for weeks with no issues) flew off of my bracelet at a Halloween centered event after I chose to ignore the Holy Spirit speaking to me about leaving. I ignored the cross falling off too. The next day at lunch, our waitress was dressed as the devil. I received the Lord's message that day about Halloween loud and clear and am happily removing it from my life and my children's lives permanently. I would skip right over the whole month of October if I could. Jesus cannot come soon enough for His people!

❤❤❤ I love this!!! My story is similar. This is my first year not celebrating. Late September my husband put up Halloween decor. It didn’t sit right with me internally…as I started to study the Bible, go to church and pray.. I walked into my house not feeling safe with Halloween decor up on the patio. I couldn’t sit out there. I’d just stay in my room. I felt like the decor was watching me.. Id hope and pray over and over my husband would change his mind about it. One day, finally, I asked him if he would.. sure enough he said, we sure are. Took it all down. Mind you, most of the decor was hand made by me from prior years… and I’d have massive Halloween parties. Now, my whole life has changed in Jesus name. I only serve him and with the strength of the Holy Spirit will only serve our God in heaven.

The Bible clearly says in 1 Thessalonians 5:22-23 : "Abstain from all APPEARANCE' of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" The mind and the body are constantly bombarded by the entertainment industry that wants to alienate people just like false believers and organized religions masquerading as preachers, popes, priests etc Most of those sects are infiltrated by occult societies like Jesuits, Jehovah witnesses, mormons, scientology, Adventists, Calvinism etc and have obvious occult symbolism like crescent Moon in Islam, Buddhism also has evil side for those who are really initiated. To go back to the topic of Halloween. Entertaining any form of evil whether literally or by subverting, including Halloween can give the wrong signals to the brain and affect the subconscious, in the same way that chewing gum mimics the action of eating for the digestive system and the whole mechanism starts up but nothing happens to the stomach and therefore, the body does not understand, the brain also doesn't necessarily completely discern "subverting" and literally practising evil...The movies directors in the mainstream entertainment industry know it so they attack the subsconcious through imagery and videos. That's not random if the co-founder of Netflix Marc Randolph is related to Sigmund Freud (neurologist) and Edward Bernays who is the father of propaganda and glamorized cigarettes in the medias though he knew the consequences on public health, of course at first people thought: who could be silly enough to find it attractive? Or they may believed it was harmless tobacco like veteran grand daddy and his pipe in new year's eve... Not knowing about how addictive nicotine would be, then they saw all the movie stars smoking and It became a trend...Still the same danger of social engineering... Not as bad as smoking but "horror movies" are also part of an issue, Netflix recently promoted the series of Wednesday from the Addams family, I didn't watch it of course but I had an ad in my twitter, now "X" feed and the thumbnail of the teaser was the young actress Jenna Ortega with fake blood all over her face... Normalizing the fake gore and entertainment or glamorizing evil is not harmful for the mind, anyone who studied psychopatholgy knows the difference between bigotry or religious mysticism... And the reality is that not everything spiritual people say is far-fetched especially those truly born again. The line between Satanism, satire, damage control or truth hidden in plain sight is not so thick. The Lord will guide his sheeps...

We've always stayed inside during Halloween. My parents weren't religious, but we lived close to the country. We had black kitties, and there was a group of somewhat young and very disturbed individuals who were stealing pets and mutilating them. There were more rules protecting dog ownership than there were for cats during that time, so that's why the cats bore the brunt of their terror. They would also put poisoned candy out during trick or treat and beat up any teenagers out late at night. Eventually the police got them when they killed one of their own members. The abandoned house that they were "meeting" in was burned down. Its an empty farm lot now, and everyone hates driving down that country road. The fall festival at our towns large farm is what most of the community attends now at the first week of October. They aren't big on doing anything on the 31st anymore. I myself am religious, so on Halloween, we stay inside and tell stories with lessons to my kids for the night in front of the fire (and eat cookies). Its family time with us and the kitties. They're 4th generation cats. The originals kept having little black babies throughout the years. Dont ask me how, black cat strays seem to flock to my property for safety, so that's where the fur color keeps coming from I guess. The point is, whether you believe in spirits or not, there are very sick people out there who do. They will use this excuse to do horrible things on this holiday. My mom told me stories like this from her years growing up in the 70's, it's awful. I've never liked Halloween bc I don't like scary things and these stories added to the repulsion. When I accepted Jesus I felt even more distaste for the holiday, but most Christians saw that as radical. I legitimately tried to build a case (biblically) for defending why so many Christians participate in it and ended up with exactly the opposite.

My church does not have “fall or harvest festivals” or “trunk or treats”. I was already enlightened to the origins of Halloween and the first sermon I heard my pastor preach was why Christians should not celebrate it or try to “redeem” it. I have refused to celebrate Halloween since Jesus saved me in 2007 after years in the occult. Finally, someone puts to words what the Holy Spirit put in my heart so many years ago. Jesus please come soon. At times I feel alone especially as a single mother but Lord I know I have you. I find strength in your love. Having children with special needs is difficult at times and now that I’m homeschooling them my hours to work are limited. Lord give me strength as I struggle to support my children and all their needs. Even as I struggle to pay rent and I struggle to buy groceries. I KEEP FAITH in you LORD JESUS. When I became a Christian’s around 15 years ago at the age of 16, I remember I was so on fire for God but I had not yet received a revelation on Halloween. I really enjoyed it and was drawn to occultism. The church I was attending did a Halloween haunted house as a fundraiser and it was scary and demonic. I remember feeling like something didn’t sit right in my spirit about this haunted house. I was so on fire for God that I had volunteered to help out with the haunted house because I was trying to serve in the church! It was after this that the Lord opened my mind to the evil and demonic nature of Halloween. I have not celebrated it since. My children are 6 and 7 years old and we have never once dressed them up for Halloween. They don’t care and don’t feel like they’re missing out. Culture will have you believe that it’s sad to not let your kids participate, but the truth is that your child will be fine without Halloween. There are many other fun, wholesome activities to do that don’t involve darkness.

We had a guy in highschool class. In science class he would do stupid dangerous stuff. Like Na he took a small piece and put it on his tongue!!! It burned his tongue . I never saw a man open a tap so fast to rinse his tongue with water. One day he tasted spirits , the purple alcholic chemical we use to clean stuff and so. Than others just throw a blind eye. Even some christians would be like : nah they just like to dress up for fun. They wont dress like a demon or so. But when you dress up on halloween and because of halloween than you are partaking in it! Throwing a blind eye and ignorant attitude wont help. Its as good as climbing into a lion cage and saying " nah it wont attack me!" Oh yes it will attack.! Being ingnorant of the danger of a lion that will devour one. That wont stop a lion from attacking. The lion wont show mercy. Thats why Jesus compared satan to a lion. Satan isnt not gona be like " oh look poor christian is on my terrain without knowing, demons leave him alone. Nooooo he will do the opposite! Satans reaction will probably be something like " stupid ignorant christian coming here, i will destroy him! " The spiritual dangers and effects is real. I personally get irritated when halloween cartoons is showed and movies etc.

Thank you for posting. I have been contemplating this "holiday" for the past few months. I have dressed up every year since I was a young child and I often ha e the very elaborate costumes that were homemade. I loved Halloween until 6 months ago when Jesus saved me. I have had a different look out in life. God is good and he has saved me from myself. I never thought it was a pegan holiday, but I do understand that it is now. And completely agree. I attended a university that was famous for it's wild Halloween parties and that night was notorious for yielding more rape and violent crimes as well as alcohol poisoning/death than any other. I've followed Pastor John Ramirez for quite awhile - got all his books (I highly recommend his first book "Out of the Devil's Cauldron" which outlines his life in Satanism and how Christ brought him out). There's a lot we did in ignorance when we were younger in the Lord, but when we start to grow in Him and become convicted of things, like Halloween, we need to not push that away. It's the Holy Spirit, and it's important to our relationship with Him to obey. We actually must become *more* sensitive to His promptings in these days, not less. I can't have my conscience become dulled, or God forbid, seared. The days are getting much more serious, and we don't have time to play games. We've got too many testimonies from very reliable people like John Ramirez to know this *isn't* harmless, especially for children. I'm glad there's more of a movement away from this. Our church stopped doing any kind of Harvest Festival a few years ago, or any kind of alternative.
