I recently began hiking back in the high Sierra in my early 50’s, after much time away. I really enjoy it. Hoping to complete the John Muir Trail this summer. If my health holds up, even the PCT would be a wonderful thing.

Good morning! That shelter looks well built and a nice place to rest. Cheers to whomever built it 🎉❤ I was surprised to see the snow on the trail when it's almost June and probably not fun walking in or on 😅 The town looks like a pleasant place to visit and your meal looked delicious. The video shot of the ceiling looks to be an old building. ❤ Congratulations to you and Coyote for your miles accomplished 🎉 Haha have you decided yet as to what you're going to do with the rest of the year when you're finished? ;) You'll be walking in your sleep to get to your next destination 😅 Happy hiking to you both! Be careful stay safe and enjoy your Hike 🎉❤ 🙏

And - the snow remains on Killington, and here we are almost to the summer solstice. I have a photo of snow in Tuckerman Ravine, in New Hampshire, taken on July 27, 1997. That same day, two young fellows came down carrying skis. Hope the Yellow Deli was all that you expected. Stay strong, be well, be safe.

They are a religious cult big time,,,How could you not tell?
@TDOLLA Жыл бұрын
they are alluding to the fact the yellow deli is ran by what some consider to be a religious cult. The twelve tribes run that place and some hostels along the trail and have been known to recruit backpackers. I have never heard of them actually kidnapping someone but they do recruit people.
@tuunahh Жыл бұрын
@S. M. Ready for a history lesson? lol So they go by the twelve tribes. They've been investigated many times by many different governments, including our own FBI. They are a cult that has been known to "make people disappear." They convince impressionable people to join without those individuals telling anyone where they are going and leaving behind all their possessions. They have these yellow delis all over the world. They also attend music festivals, sometimes in their famous red bus, and prey on people who are intoxicated. After an individual joins, they send them away to work at one of these delis or on a farm. They've been caught in child labor issues claiming the kids should be able to help their parents work. There has even been accusations of sexual assault but I'm not sure if those allegations were ever proven. Ex-members claim there is child abuse within the group but this also has never been proven. They preach racist and antisemitic beliefs. Even though many can come off as very kind and generous, they are definitely a dangerous group. Long story short the original comment was concerned Stella might "disappear" meaning no more videos or day 91.

I recently ran across your channel and I’m enjoying following your AT hike. Keep on trekking… and not meaning to get too personal, but you appear to be younger than many of your contemporaries out there doing this right now, AT Class of ‘23. I could be wrong. With age comes wisdom, and the ability to manage your emotions. I also know from my own hikes (smaller thru-hikes) vlogging a hike takes a considerable amount of energy and mental stamina in its own right. You might look at reducing your filming time, perhaps just a daily KZbin Short and the longer production every four to seven days. The Shorts will actually help propel you higher up the You Tube algorithm to get a wider audience. Spend the saved time nurturing your body nurturing friendships on the trail.
@sanman8359 Жыл бұрын
Actually, she is very experienced. She has more through-hike experience than most hikers on the AT today. She just wears her emotions on her sleeves that makes her look like she’s falling apart at times. In reality, she’s as tough as nails.
@JRoss707 Жыл бұрын
@@sanman8359 yeah, I noticed she’s nearly on the third leg of the Triple Crown, if she goes back and knocks out the rest of the CDT. Not taking anything away from her, she’s done and incredible amount especially since she seems to be in her early 20’s most of the Triple Crowners out there well into their 30s it seems. Rooting for her to nail down the AT.
