Hey bro get a bivvy bag. Soooo good and keeps you dry. Also a hot water bottle is such a wicked piece of kit. The cold is no joke and if you're solo it's hard to warm up. Great to see a young lad out there doing it 👌👌

Cook the fish in olive oil and butter at the end. Otherwise the butter will burn. Alternatively if using butter, add olive oil. It will stop the butter from burning and going bitter. Great vid BTW.

Use normal olive oil though now extra virgin as extra virgin is designed to dress salads etc. its got a lower burning point. @@WildNorthAddiction

Bro instead of flour and egg just use mayonnaise a light coating of mayonnaise on the fish then in the crumbs… way less mess and tasty as Thank me later Also as above butter and oil mix works way better than just butter

You'll loose a heap of your warmth through the mattress unless it has a decent insulation rating (R value)... Sleeping bags don't really hold warmth in when the insulation is crushed (ie the part your laying on.) Useless facts 101 👍🏼 Lovin ya vids man!

if you did try a hammock setup, put a old sleeping bag under your hammock, to keep you warm. use rubber bands to keep underbag snug to your hammock, check out hammock setups you will figure it out

I would have thought an Open Fire on the boat would have been ok - seeing you had a Rocky Beach where the rocks have been in the sun all day just 50 meters away I'm surprised you wanted to be cold - the cooker will work on the warm rocks of the beach as well

Your living the dream 👍out from Parengarenga. Geoff Tomas did a Surfcasting episode lots of years back, on Great Exhibition Bay beach. It’s on my bucket list, 2003 i caught and landed a 31.2 Lb Snap on 2nd Rod of East Coast beach surfcasting, had the shakes what a rush at 10.40pm. First rod out of the 2 the Fish didn’t stop, spooled all the Mono. Nothing big since that night 😔
