Your video will allow people to slow down and explore what Bishop has to offer. The outlying roads reveal so much unseen beauty. Spent years racing up 395 to mammoth. Now I slow down and explore for new fishing areas.

I love bishop. I actually rather stay here than mammoth when I go snowboarding. Better prices on lodging, better food (some really good Mexican food), better hours, better parking, better gas options (shout out to Paiute palace gas station). Of course I always pick up an apple pie from Jack’s to bring back home

Thank you for another great video. It's lovely that you're making these wonderful memories with your family! We were married in Lake Tahoe many years ago and have visited almost every year since. We originally just passed through Bishop on our way up 395 to the lake, but now we always stay overnight both on the way up and the way back. Love Schat's & Back Alley Bowl and Grill and feeding the ducks in the park, too. If you like barbecue, you must try Holy Smoke Texas Style BBQ. It's the real deal!

Great small town. We were driving from LA to Yosemite and stopped by Bishop last month. We actually ran into a WWE wrestler named Stone Cold Steve Austin at Erick Schat's bakery. He told us him and his wife love to cruise Highway 395 and checking out all the different sites like Mammoth Lakes..etc.

Nice video, Bishop is one of my favorite places to visit. It’s a great small town with a good vibe. Love seeing the local people driving their old cars around town. Hot as heck in the summer.

I love going to Bishop! I love Schat's - I always get some cheez bread and a loaf of Mule Bread. The Mahogany Smoked Meats place on the north side of town is great too, they have beef jerky (better than that place in your first 395 video) and great sandwiches too. Next time you go to Bishop, make sure to go up Highway 6 (it splits off 395 where the Vons is) and there's a train museum in the town of Laws. There's also a place called the Volcanic Tablelands where you get a nice view of the valley. And if you go further up Highway 6 about 35 miles, there's a town called Benton. They have a resort called Benton Hot Springs, and you can stay at a cabin or house there for a night or two and have your very own hot spring tub to use!

Schat's. 'Nuff said. When I was a teenager in the early 70s we owned a condo and a cabin in Mammoth Lakes, and I remember many occasions in winter when after a day of skiing we'd do the 80-mile 'round trip to Bishop and back for Schat's Sheepherder Breat -- _THE_ best bread I have ever eaten -- _ANYWHERE._ It was worth the drive, even in snow. We'd pick up some artichokes, fondue cheese and Sheepherder bread, and that would be our apre' ski dinner. Thankfully Schat's has another store IN Mammoth Lakes now, so I wouldn't have to make that long trek down and back up; and I intend to do so if/when I get down there in March. Owens Valley, Bishop, Lone Pine, Mammoth -- my absolute favorite area of California; and I've been in every square inch of the state, having been born and raised there. _Nothing_ compares to the diverse geography, geology, and climate that Owens Valley and the eastern Sierra offers, and anyone who hasn't been there yet needs to put it on their bucket list.

My family and I usually go up to Mammoth during the summer time. We always go through Bishop when we do. They are always short stops for gas, maybe some food, and stretching our legs before we continue on to Mammoth. Schat’s Bakery is usually one of the places we stop for snacks.

Wonderful citation to a brave, deserving soldier. Unfortunately the citation depicts (spelling) the wrong division. Not the "American" rather the "Americal" Division.

met my wife to be there in '75 when i moved from reno,nv--her family has a couple of ranches south of bishop--bishop was a cow town then(cowboys,horses)--now all the wanna bes have moved in from LA--a lot of the old timers gone, the ones left are talking of leaving--calif sucks in so many ways but in reality it is just too many people, way too many....

I have proof that God does exist. Pray this prayer: “Lord God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost, if there is anything this person is trying to tell me, and if there is anything you want me to do for this person, show it to me. Show me the truth. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.”
