Not gonna lie but the scenery shots/views of the island combined with the music in the background gave me this amazing feeling that I couldn't describe, like nostalgia and an overwhelming calm despite never being there before- so whoever specifically edited and filmed that part honestly kudos to them :D!!!

Can we have more footage and information or history about the island? That hole through the ground into the sea is absolutely amazing! And to think that we learned about it through your video instead of Nat Geo, shows that youtubers' videos can be educational too.

10:30 that is the greatest, most British response I've ever heard in my entire life LMAO. I got tearful when Josh and Ollie became grateful once they landed on that island. It was joyous for me, and I felt the wonder of the nature that the island holds. Didn't think I'd love this channel more until now! I'm in love with Scotland, the scenery, their folktales, their folk songs, their food and their languages, all the beautiful castles and monoliths. I hope I get to experience it one day. 3:57 So the island of the Shetlands that you landed on is called the Mainland because it's the main/biggest island of the archipelago. The settlement in the background is called Lerwick which is the main town of the islands and nearly seven thousand people live there. While Papa Stour got their power in 1990, Lerwick first got a power station in 1953!

There's a 1980s European film that I've been looking for for the past 15 years about a 12 year old girl who's abandoned by her mom. She goes looking for her, meets people and sees incredible and heartbreaking and terrifying things along the way and litterally makes it to the end of the world. Then she looks forward at all the nothing and circles back home. Your journey reminded me of that film. You've captured a magical moment with Josh right there at 7:56, you could really see how much he's grown, how much he loves you Ollie, how much he's been through in the past year and how deeply it all touched him. I cried when I watched it because it's so rare to see a person for who they really are, and it takes one hell of a gift to capture those moments because they're so fleeting. Thank you for that, it was really important to see. And I love that the woman on the fairy called your car "she". It says a lot about people's mentality. Let's go

Amen to being thankful for what you have. Those of us who live in or around big cities have the privilege of being able to access so much while there are those in remote places like French Polynesia who have to rely on a ship that comes once a week for supplies. Really puts into perspective of just how lucky some of us are. In McMurdo Station, Antarctica, they get one ship a YEAR for food shipments to the base to feed the researchers. This means because they're stuck with whatever they got from that one shipment, they end up recycling food and serving it as leftovers. That also includes serving expired food because well, when you're in a remote place like Antarctica...an expiration date is just a suggestion. And the researchers need a huge number of calories to work out in harsh temperatures. Also, if we count the British Overseas Territories, now that you can travel internationally again, I think an even more remote Airbnb in the UK are the ones on St. Helena, a pretty remote island between South America and South Africa. So remote that the British placed Napoleon Bonaparte there so he wouldn't be able to return again to Europe! That place didn't get an airport until *2016!*

@@RuyLopezTheSicilian Thank you for mentioning that video! It's fun for them to have mentioned the Faroes. I started watching in Feb 2020, so I haven't seen all the older videos. Yet! The video is from Sep 2019, but it's not the same person. Now I know that they already have received the Jolly sodas, I have actually thought of sending it to them for a snack review. I also thought they were in the Faroe Islands in this video, looks almost the same

I’ve been watching your channel for years, you can’t imagine the excitement I felt seeing this! As a Scot, nothing makes me happier than seeing people explore my beautiful little country, especially the lesser travelled parts of the country. I spent the summer travelling the west coast, ferry hopping along the inner and outer Hebrides on tiny little boats, in horrific weather. Isolation and journeys like these are an everyday occurrence for a lot of people along the west coast lol. I hope you guys had the most amazing time, Scottish hospitality and views are second to none, but the weather leaves a lot to be desired! I hope you’re planning to come back, we have so much to offer. I would highly recommend the Isle of Skye and maybe even the Isle of Mull, going over to Iona (where the book of Kells was written in the oldest monastery in Scotland) and Staffa was the highlight of my trip.
