Chris when are we going to get a Zaldain signature series rod? Maybe a signature swimbait rod? That would be cool, anyways i hope you and your family keeps killing it.

Sure would like to get in to those size spots here, looks like a blast. Enjoy your shows big time. Tell your wife to hang in there, she’s very similar to my late wife who was not afraid to ask any question that needed asked, or a statement that needed said. I sure admired her for that. Keep em coming, great shows. Ron

Some Sunday Zaldain content, YES PLEASE! Question, and I apologize in advance because I know you don't love the technique, when you're tossing a minnow to a fish or group of fish on scope, what is your goal with the minnow? Are you trying to drop it right on their head then pull it away from them? Are you trying to jiggle it and swim it right over their heads? Just jiggle it in their face as long as possible? Thanks buddy, I hope you're enjoying your time between tourneys!
@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
Good question. It definitely depends on time of year and how the baitfish are acting. In this video, I would spot the school, cast about 5 feet past them, let it pendulum swing down on a tight line. As soon as I saw one swim react to the bait by swimming towards it, I’d speed it up with my reel like a herring trying to get away. The water was hot and they were in a funky mood. Had to trigger them with the “cat and mouse” technique.

24:06 low key telling everybody you're FreeBalling 😂😂😂.. I hear ya it's hot like STUPID hot in Alabama... I'm about to spend TOO MUCH $ on one of the credit cards with 13fishing, I really like those rods. I've been thinking about switching over for a while. The last few videos I been paying s lot of attention to the rods you and Kyle Welcher's using,!!! I can't believe the price for the swimbait rod I was looking at😮.. that's crazy good deal.. soooo yea thanks for that 😅

How good are those Bates reels
@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
Dude they’re butter!!!!! Honestly Bates Hundos are up there with all the high end Shimanos. They sent me a few after I split with 13 Fishing. Bates was a HUGE upgrade.

How do you like the 9” Magdraft? How’d you fish it? Got it brand new at a garage sale for $5 😂
@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
They make an 8” and a 10”.. both get bit, but don’t expect many bites! March and April are best for that style of swimbait. Bass Mafia helped me make a 9” Daingerous that is releasing very soon. Works all year!!

What rod do you throw your minnows on?
@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
This rod was a proto, but I prefer a 6’8” to 6’10” MEDIUM action spinning rod. Definitely want something with a little more power than a drop shot rod. Think wacky rigged Senko or tube / shaky head rod.

Not related to this vlog but could we please get a FROG video?! Also, what frog-popping and pointed head do you use? I’m currently throwing the scum frog, spro, and gambler. PS, I’m south fishing down in South FL. Lake Okeechobee is like 25 minutes from me. Headwaters lakes are like 40 minutes if that helps in your recommendation. Thank you so much if you read, comment, or throw up a frog vid.
@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
We did a sick frog video last year, but everyone could enjoy another one! We’re working on a badass popping/ blooping frog with Bass Mafia at the moment. The Gambler one is pretty good. The Spro one used to be good… Regular frogs, I like old school Snag Proofs and Live Targets

@Zaldaingerous4 ай бұрын
Gene, I still have a few rods that are still in my boat, I use them from time to time. I got rid of all the reels and upgraded to Bates Hundo’s, and they are LEGIT!!

I thought dumping a lot of ice in the well with fish on a hot day would shock the fish to quickly and possible kill some.
