Summary: 1. Get really good at one skill. 2. Mix skill sets from different disciplines (Accounting, Marketing, etc.) 3. Work in a progressive environment. 4. Be someone people want to work with.

You are never too old to start programming however being older in tech will absolutely make it more difficult to find a job especially entry level.

TheCrusaderRabbits it's cheesy to say, but even with this in particular it's never really too late. Everyone is gonna learn it soon - probably as a mandatory prerequisite, and the community is vast enough to support any type of newbie get in and get good. An analogy would be 'working out' - it's never too late to start and it won't be too long before getting amazing results...
