As someone stated, this is a cover of a song by the group Turbo and one of the members from Turbo was in the end scene with ATEEZ members. it does not matter what they sing, their performance level is so top tier -- total excitement. Love ATEEZ.

I love this cover they did. The live performance is even better which they did for a competition show called Immortal Songs, where they have multiple wins holding a current wins record for boy groups. I believe Mamamoo holds the record for female groups. I agree that Ateez is up there with BTS and EXO. I’m a fan of many many groups and I think Ateez is the best performing group of the 4th gen.

Ateez performed Black Cat Nero on Immortal Songs (Korean tv program) and watching Jongho do those high notes live, along with the judges and the audiences faces when he did it, was an otherworldly experience.

Thanks guys for your reaction to this! They have a way of merging genres and keeping the music unexpected but it still remains cohesive. Just then you thing you know where an ATEEZ song is going, they flip it on it’s head, but it always still works. But they will use certain sounds/vocals through their whole discography so it always sounds cohesive even if it’s a different album/series. Also James, they use crumping a lot in their choreography too. ☺️ They are so satisfying in every way.

Thank you for reacting to this ❤❤❤ THIS WAS THE MV THAT TURNED ME INTO ATINY! i had nvr heard of them b4 until I saw Kim Jong Kook's ig post of him with them working on this mv. I fell into the rabbit hole immediately. IMMEDIATELY. And I dont usually get into grps easily, more of a casual listener of everyone. The last grp that got my heart was Bigbang. Ngl Hongjoong, Ateez's leader, initially reminded me so much of GD. And my fav genre is rock and to see tt they turned this much-beloved Turbo song into a rock anthem was much much appreciated. And Jongho's powerful vocals - exactly what I love. My fav 3rd gen vocalist is Kang Seung Yoon of Winner & 2nd gen vocalist is Daesung of Bigbang. To me, they are not the typical kpop main vocals-type of vocals. They are band frontman types of vocals & I LOVE that.

this song is the Korean version of a very famous Italian children's song called "Volevo un gatto nero" (I wanted a black cat) which dates back to 1969. Every year is broadcast in Italy a program called "lo zecchino d'oro" in which some children sing songs with a small choir. This is where this song comes from. In the original version it simply talks about a child who desperately wanted a black cat but instead he received only a banal white cat (the black cat is seen as a sign of bad luck and associated with Halloween). I never understood why this song was so successful in Asia and in particular in South Korea, it always makes me laugh😂😂😂

Yes, it is an Italian children's song. I grew up listening to this. Every time I listen to this cover I can't help but think of the original and I think that although they are similar they are also very different
