it was so refreshing and relatable to see that a couple openly going through their "issues" to a point of crying then making up rather than seeming like the stereoypical everythings perfect happy forever type of relationship most online personas have. i'm glad you guys chose to share this part of your lives and for it to be an example on how to talk through and fix the seemingly little issues couples often go through.

Maybe also figure out each other’s love languages; it seems like Taryn wanted to hear words of affirmation about trying her best and Cam wants more acts of service maybe?? It helps knowing that that’s just how the other wants to be loved xx

What you guys did was so vulnerable and real. It shows, well at least to me, that it's possible to have some disagreements and still be in a healthy and secure relationship. It should not be a surprise that you can love your partner with your whole being, respect them, be content with your relationship and at the same time, together face very common issues between couples. Thanks ❤

Literally felt like I was listening to my friend and their SO having words in front of a group of friends 😂 but truly I have the same exact issues my my SO. Specifically the cleaning aspect (I’m Cammie in this sitch). Love will prevail tho! And I’m so happy for both of you 😊 living, loving, and being considerate of another human other than yourself is a hard thing to do!

Thank you for posting this vulnerable episode. I felt like I was watching a conversation that has happened, (many-a-time) between my husband and I. Real relationships include hurt feelings, being honest and actionable steps that work toward meeting somewhere in the middle. It feels nice to see that from a couple online. Keep doing what y’all do!!

I am no expert, but I believe framing criticism with acknowledgment of effort and improvement will keep the wheels on long term. Criticism is always hard to digest, but when you know it's coming from a place of love, it feels different in delivery. And whoa, if this isn't a perfect example of how learning how to problem solve together is so crucial. Mostly, learning to be in each others corner no matter what storm you face, big or small. I always relate it to picking your teammate for the "game of life." As teammates, we have to make each other better so we both "win." Maybe the solution is Taryn helping Cammie clean the kitchen together, or maybe it's Taryn calling the maid, but this is definitely one of many moments to problem solve. Love the realness, reminds me of all the challenges I've had with my hunny for 10 years, and how strong it has made us after all this time. ❤️

I know that this was probably a hard episode for you guys but it's true that its validating and normalizing because most content is happy moments and that's okay because your job is entertaining, but it's great to also see the human and mundane part of a relationship, that even though can be challenging, you are showing that if you really love each other you can figure out everything and have patience with the process. Its literally showing your audience what a healthy and happy relationship looks like 💖

It's not what Cam wants , it's the actual definition of cleaning. Cleaning is to make the whole surface of a certain thing clean... If you think you cleaned, and it isn't clean, then you didn't clean. Sorry Taryn, and thank you so much for trying!!! You'll get it right, life is honestly a cleaning race until you finally catch up and just have to clean after yourself, and everything stays propperly neat with really small effort. Life hack: wash the sink right after, like it's just one last dish , easy peasy. (The same with the tub, toilet, counter, table etc etc)

Thank you for this lovely episode. I can totally relate to Taryn on this one. All she wanted was a little validation for the effort atleast. In her mind she did her absolute best. I understand Cam aswell, she doesn't feel like she wants to explain everything. Maybe Taryn can go to a cleaning course or watch youtube videos? In that case not all pressure and responsibility will lay on Cammies shoulders. Anyways love your podcast. Much love from Sweden

Hi Girls, love your podcasts! (Previous channels as well) I’ve been thinking about the ‘cleaning issue’. I’m in the same bucket as Taryn. My wife and I have been together for nearly 25 years (yes we are older..much older). No matter how hard I try, I dont seem to be able to.. measure up..can’t clean anything to her standards, or load the dishwasher correctly, or …🤔wash the floors..even vacuum correctly! Believe me, it’s not for lack of trying..I’ve chalked up to her OCD..we try not to argue about it or get hurt feelings (anymore). It simply us what it is. Maybe that also applies to your situation?

watching this made me tear up. my girlfriend and i are still in the early stages of our relationship so we don't always handle things well bcause we're still learning each other's communication styles and such. i got emotional because this is how i wish me and my gf dealt with things, but it's much harder in an actual situation. i do truly believe we'll get there though!

🙌🏻🙌🏻 same stuff‘s going down over here in Germany 😅 ..I‘m the Taryn in our relationship when it comes to cleaning.. we‘re on our third cleaning plan right now.. she ripped the first two 😂 I was so excited that we‘re not alone in this that I ran over to the bedroom, switched on the lights and woke her up to tell her ..kidding, I would never do that ✋🏼😂😂

wow, guys thank u for ur honesty and rawness (if that's a word lol) I appreciated it so frickin much. watching this episode made me relate so much on different levels with me and my girlfriend. We both have ADHD and have had to have conversations about when we can break each other's concentration. Especially as we are two university students so when we're doing uni work, it's a very stressful time anyways. We use 'Are you in it?' to see if the other one is free to break away from concentrating, and then we each answer with a quick yes/no. Sending hugs and positive vibes from Brighton!

Both can benefit from lowering their expectations of each other. Taryn can lower her expectations of Cammie being available to her at her whim and Cammie can lower her expectations of Taryn’s cleaning standards vs her own. Expectations lead to disappointment 😉
@chillaxerating Жыл бұрын
It's hard to be in a relationship with mismatched upbringings. Lots of people make it work, but some people are just not compatible and they make each other more anxious than they would be single. Taryn needs to work on her out-loud-overthinking, anxiety, and start truly taking a step back and trying to see where Cammie is coming from from an objective, emotionally-regulated point of view, and Cammie needs to work on not feeding into Taryn's spirals and realize she doesn't need to step on eggshells the rest of her life. That gets tiring once the wedding, etc. is long behind you and you're years into something. After years, you'll lose the energy to put up with issues you overlooked when committing your life to someone, and that's what causes divorce.

What a child, cries over not being praised for doing the bare minimum. Worded it as nicely as possible and she still acted like a man child. My god.
@serena24u3 Жыл бұрын
Bro do you even understand she had a maid doing the clearing for her ofc she doesnt't know it and you have to praise her so that she is going to be motivated to do better. If you don't praise a person for the work that they have done even if they still have a long way to go they are gonna feel bad and useless
@janetpaskalov2094 Жыл бұрын
@@serena24u3 I mean the internet exists and not to mention she was making the whole thing about herself instead of considering Cammie probably felt like having to pick up after a partner which is incredibly uncommon in wlw relationships. She had every right to tell her straight up kindly and she did. She wasn’t rude about and she still cried, why cause she didn’t praise her? she literally then did say good job but yes this was a moment for critique which was what TARYN literally asked for and kept begging and Cammie caved because she didn’t want to originally knowing she’d cry. That’s a child.
@serena24u3 Жыл бұрын
@@janetpaskalov2094 don't say child she was on her period she said that multiple times so when you discuss something like that that can make her upset
@janetpaskalov2094 Жыл бұрын
@@serena24u3 you can be on your period but that’s not why I call her a child. For crying. I call her a child for crying over something she kept pleading when she knew it would hurt her, putting cammie in an awkward postion and then to act like she needs praise for doing bare minimum IS childish. Any grown adult would realize how to clean properly so regardless if she wasn’t taught I’m still pointing out the truth. That rich people are so privileged and it makes them childish and reminiscent of a man child.

Cammie you are a pain with the cleaning. Taryn obviously is trying so hard to get up to your standards and you causing her a lot of stress and worries. What a dream woman she is for wanting to make you happy and proud. You are so lucky. Just get a professional cleaner ones a week and the problem is solved.
