@Staystafe Our warlocks are tanking normally, the transition Goes off without a hitch then 10-20 seconds into the warlock tanking, then Vek'lor runs over and hits the warlock tank, he sometimes runs full max range cast distance and smacks him for 5000+ I am the warrior tank, I get shadowbolted after the transition, then it goes to the warlock, everything is good, he seems to cast a blizzard, then he is full sprinting at the warlock and swinging his stick. It has absolutely nothing to do with the transition. I'll repeat it, since people will not grasp it, It has absolutely nothing to do with the transition. This happens 10-20 seconds after the teleport, so the warlock has aggro establish and shadow bolts are being cast at him.

yeah, we have the same problem. We are NOT too close to target. By running raidlogs several times, the boss has warlock as target, around 25 yards or so away. It activates "explode bug" ability and then runs directly to warlock, hits him in the head and arcane explode right away also. We have been analyzing this a LOT and and we still can not grasp how bosses don't do that to everyone else. But it does for some, we are not the only ones experiencing that. Some say they did it already in vanilla, but I think it's still some kind of random bug.

@@markoviitanen2671 Get your raid off the stairs. If somebody is too far for him to cast an ability he will run towards them and hit your warlock in the face on the way.

@@xpurescimx Checking the logs the boss doesn't change target... Also, it is impossible to get everyone at range, because some of the group is fighting other boss, and some are killing bugs, but we can try getting them closer, out of the stairs at least.

This video is really wrong thou, the melee bug with Veklor has happened to us 4 times and we still down it every week without all those buffs...if you have 10k go it’s not gonna be hard

I only did this on privat servers... My question: Why not pop CoD on the boss, timed so when it teleports back to you, it procs? worked like a charm (again on Pservers) to get the first bit of aggro as a lock tank after the teleport

I tanked with no world buffs and used 290 SR. Had 1 priest and 1 paladin onmyself and the Warrior tank on my side, and it was no problem.

I had 310 the first two times, then recently went down to like 250. There's a massive difference. In the video he has 214.

@@durendenmp812 yeah, last raid i took it down to 270 SR. No flask or world buffs either. I do get like 6300 hp with normal raid buffs, but we had no problem in the fight.

He addressed it by ignoring the snap aggro mechanic. He also said he’s never had it happen to him. Hard to say if that is really why it’s not happening or not.

I honestly disagree with the flask of supreme power over flask of titans. Especially if people are stuck on twin emps. power infusion works just as well for the increased spell damage

most of the gear and enchants are just BiS lists that you can lookup. but the majority of the difference you see between yourself and staysafe is probably the consumables hes using. (he had 30 buffs during the fight about 10 are consumes)

The biggest issue warlocks have with this boss, and I didn't see you address it, was the melee "bug" where the warlock will be standing at 20 yards or so and the caster just decides its time to run up and melee the lock. I know you said on stream you've never encountered this mechanic so you can't speak about it, but in my experience this is whats making twin emps so difficult not anything mentioned in the video. I will say after watching you tank it I told my locks to always stand at 15 yards, rather then 25 or further that they had been, and it seemed to help but we'll still take a melee attack or two throughout the fight randomly (again the lock isn't moving into the caster, the locks at 15-25 yards the whole time). The only difference I can see between your attempts and ours is we still use the melee tank to grab the snap threat initially, perhaps this is somehow causing the issue (even though the issue occurs in the middle of the phase after the warlock has been tanking it fine for 20 seconds +)

Hang on, Curse of Tounges do indeed work on the caster add and should definitely be up at all times. The shadowbolt is 1s cast compared to 1.5s cast when Tounges is up. CoT 100% works!

Even split between sides of room. With 200 Sr, the locks dmg taken should not be a prob for 1-2 healers anyway as long as u don't get melee'd or something

315 SR only means that on average you should resist 75% of the bolts but that does not mean that you don't eat any damage. Even at 315 SR you have a 1% chance to eat the whole bolt unmitigated and in roughly 24% of the remaining cases you should eat something in between. It's like with random chances, even hitcapped one has a 1% chance to miss an ability and guess what, I missed my abilities like 8 times in a row - this is how (bad) luck behaves in the game. While the likelihood for such an event are rather tiny, it still exists and at some point it just seems you have not hit or SR at all. I'm also sure that you don't sit at 9-10k hp either, which leaves a lot of wiggle room for the healers and enough buffer for oh-shit moments.

One thing for guilds that aren't heavy melee. The caster boss takes more damage, something like 160% compared to the melee boss. We were able to down twin emps last night by putting more caster dps on the boss.
