8:27 re: Z-bar linkage. An external hydraulic system has advantages (especially self adjusting), but a mechanical Z-bar setup can be REALLY nice if you replace the cheap factory wear-prone pivots with heim joints. My CJ7 was a mess to shift before the simple heim joint swap and now it's by far my favorite clutch to use. It feels like a bolt action rifle. My 5.0 MGB is getting a Nissan truck hydraulic cylinder on the T5 because joining the factory master via 3an braided is easy peasy. The builds on this channel are some of the best out there.

the trick on my 77 Nova 350 4spd. is to only use the clutch from a dead stop. and upshift w/o the clutch! work suprisingly well for the old saginaw M21! ive never used the clutch to slow down w/ my old car i let it in neutral and use the brake. since they are cheaper and easier to replace! 😁

I learned one thing doing ball joints in D100. Dodge with the screw in ball joints after you tighten them down bring the mig welder over & Tach each ball joint in all the way around. Because most likely the threads aren't able to hold them anymore. First one i did 2 days later both uppers completely popped out. I tached each ball joint on each side of every point on the hex with 1/8" long bead. Haven't had any issues since.
