@16:25 Plumber here. The multiplier for pipe you have to remove on a 45 degree angle is 1.415. So you're at 15.5" and take 12" from that is 3.5". You divide that by 2 because there's two pipes .That's how many inches each side need to go in = 1.75" each. This is where the magic 1.415 comes in. You multiply 1.75" X 1.415 times and the number you have to take off each pipe is 2.47 inches. Or just shy of two and a half inches 😊🤑

Yeay! Luv'n the '64 Dodge,, Son! I had a '63 Polara, Torqueflight, 318. It was a DOG. The year was 1972, my Polara was only 9 years old and I LOV'd it! Always had hopes/dreams of dropping a 440, 4spd in it but being's I was a young feller, married with 2 kids and barely making more than $4.00 an hour, rent, utilities, food, clothes, doctor bills, etc., etc. my dreams for the car just weren't in the cards. After owning it only a couple years I sold it to buy a '76 Dodge wagon and my dreams of a sweet hotrod went on hold til the mid 80's. Watching you work on this beauty kinda takes me back to my dreams of long ago. GO MoPAR!

I like that this show has unique builds. Other channels are pretty much all the same, 4-cylinder = K-series, 6-cylinder = 2JZ, 8-cylinder = LS. Then just swap one of those 3 into every car shell. You guys are doing it right and doing different stuff, much more entertaining. You guys also usually match the car brand with the engine brand which i like. I mean taking the 340 out of the Demon and putting a twin turbo LS would just ruin it, put it in a Camaro or Silverado or something, where it belongs

Tony, it would be so awesome if someone like 440 Source or TFS would hook you guys up on a like 499 or 512 Stroker kit for a 400 block and some aluminum heads for that bad bish. I love the way those Polaras look, they are one of the outlandish early 60s Mopars that comes off looking really mean. I especially love that back end, I almost see a tiny bit of late 70s Dodge Diplomat in it, then it has the rocket ship front end that has a bit if the Turbine car and a bit of Ford T-Bird/Galaxie thing happening. Please get some rust reformer on it, maybe tape off a straight line across the bottom of the rockers, feather off the cracked paint, hit it with rust reformer (like inside on the roof, underhood, trunk type areas)and some white rustoleum, then buff it out a touch and it'll really look great. Maybe try some flex seal or something after the rust reformer to fill the tiny holes and stuff and put a thick layer on for sound and weather proofing...that car was a reallly great choice. Now Barb's truck needs a V8 instead of that slant 6 and maybe a floor shift A833 or something and that could be really cool...that or maybe an Aussie fan could find you guys a Hemi 6 and ship it over, I am pretty sure that would be a first on any of the major USA hot rodder channels, it makes sense since that design was meant to be a used in Dodge Trucks originally. Love the channel, I am always ready for the next video.

Growing up, we had a 1965 Chrysler New Yorker 6-window Town sedan (with the clear tail light lenses) that had the right hand twist studs (with "R" stamped in the end) and lug nuts on the passenger side and the driver's side had the left-hand tread studs (with "L" stamped on it). And since we put snow tires on each winter, I quickly (as a pre-teen) learned to do the driver\s side "backwards" without braking anything - or loosing anything. Great videos!

Had a 390 gear set for around town and the 273 for the highway. Got pretty good at yanking the pumpkin in the parking lot except for the 240 ft# to set the rear axle nut (1/2 breaker bar an a lenght of pipe). It would squeak like a loose chair leg if the nut wasn't tight. Mine was black with a red interior...loved that car could write a book.

You've been doing this for a while now, but it's still jarring when I recognize a road or spot where you're filming. A lot more rust to deal with here, but it's good to have a top tier car show here in the East!

I know you did a lot of work there, but really those problems were really a bunch of small things. It's amazing how small things can make a car seem like junk you just want to get rid of. With some smarts and effort you got it where it needs to be, good job!

The small things always drive you the most nuts! I put one of those A pillar gauge pods in my truck and the sun visor would hit it so I could barely use it. For 6 years I just dealt with it. I guess it was a minor issue so I didn't give it much thought. One day in the taco bell drive through I noticed their was a screw and a lightbulb clicked in my head. I loosened the screw while waiting in the drive through slid the visor over 1/2 inch on the shaft and tightened the screw up and it works and doesn't hit anymore. I felt triumphant and stupid all at the same time. I think about it every time I flip the sun visor down.

Love seeing this car on the show Tony! I may be biased though, because my 64 Polara is my baby. It had a similar issue with the brakes after putting discs all around and swapping from manual to power brakes a year or so ago. We chalked it up to lack of vacuum and installed an electric vacuum pump, as per the recommendation of the master cylinder manufacturer. It stops a lot better now. Not as good as I feel a power disc brake car should, but good enough that I'm not scared to be in highway traffic lol. I'd like to see how you solve the issue on your 64 at some point though!

Tony, there's a company here in Seattle called Red Head Steering. They rebuild steering boxes, both power and manual, to work like new, even when the worm gear is worn down. They hand select the right oversize ball bearings to fit the worm gear, making it work like new. Cuz many old boxes aren't replaceable.

In the early 90s I bought a '64 Chrysler New Yorker from the original owner and drove it ~200 miles home. The steering was so loose that it would nearly change lanes if you hit a seam in the road. Turned out it had a totally worn out center link. I did a bunch of stuff to make it better and it was fun for awhile.

Drag link/idler arm always seems to be the biggest deal on the box cars. That's a big old cool boat.

mopar spring hangers are shimmable (which is awesome) for toe so that you can align the rear track. drop a string centerline anywhere in the middle of the vehicle, measure from that center to each axle tube (double check the axle is centered over the leafs..) to square the rear axle. then adjust the front to align with the rear. 👍

A friend of mine bought one of those from his bro-N-law that was already restored, probably more likely freshened up because this was early seventies. It had a thick dark green paint job with thick clear coat. It was beautiful. I was never a fan of the way these looked but his badass ride helped me to see these could be made to actually be show cars. Interior definitely had been redone & of course it had the push button selector for I reckon a 727. Now for the kicker & I mean when he dropped the hammer it would hook those gigantic wrinkle walls & I kid you not that dude would do like Derek said on the O'REILLY'S commercial, want aw jump a coke can in the parking lot. Yes siree I'm tellen ya it had a built 426 Wedge in it & it hit a lick big time. Just had one big 4 barrel but that was plenty. We were at a day long event at a little country town that everybody drove their cool cars around & around all day between short breaks. The law was pretty lax that day of the year but they ran us out of town that day.

I’ve been working on cars since I was 5. I seriously started doing oil changes on everything my dad would let me touch since then and I have been a MOPAR guy since all of that and I’m 40 now. I friggin’ LOVE everything Chrysler. This video really does get me going. But I have to be honest and say that I can’t wait to see more of that V12 in the Foxy Martin. Black exterior with a plush tan/brown leather interior and a 6-speed manny tranny leaving two thick black strips on the asphalt.

The thread fix comes from helicoil , they were developed during Apollo missions to keep bolts tightly attached to thin aluminum skin. My dad worked on the Apollo missions and we used them when we stripped things out.......

@BeatUpBuilds I have a 2015 Ford Ranger with a 4 inch lift. Air bags, aux battery, front struts upgrade to suit the lift, front diff drop, catch can (diesel), secondary diesel filter, 31 inch tyres, throttle controller, and 90000 other up grades. Will had a Toyota chaser jzx100. But some shit head smashed into it when it was parked on the street and wrote it off

Its interesting we didn't get the ranger back until 2019. I remember seeing a test vehicle of one on the road. It doesn't look much different from your 2015 ranger just going off a google image I've driven one and man the fan for the engine is so loud! I have never heard a fan so loud it must move a lot of air!@@imcmcguiness5110

You are really lucky during that 850 mile drive that it did not shear off all ten rear lug studs boys, the angels were on your side on that drive, but, replace those rotors if they are cracked, then open up the new rotor holes.

Hell yeah, absolutely badass now, well it was already BA but now it’s even more BA!!! I had a old Chevy that would drive like that, the rearend would go down the road cockeyed, I didn’t even know it until somebody was behind me following me one day and they told it was crooked! Ended up being almost the same thing as yours was there, well almost, mine had one of the trailing arms was a little different than the other, me and my old man changed the different trailing arm and found one like what was suppose to be on it, that wrong one must’ve came from some other GM car, I don’t know, but some shade tree mechanic put that one on it instead of getting the right one, anyways yeah that straightened it right up!
