Hi Lyn, with the pampers voucher, claim and then drop them in the food bank collection, this is what we do. Regarding your rant; it does appear silly but paracetamol is highly dangerous, the restriction was to try and reduce the number of accidental poisonings. The law was passed in 1998 and over the following 10+ years there was a reduction so proved it worked at that time. I think the law probably needs reassessing as shopping has changed considerable since the beginning of the 21st century, but also, if you have long term pain a GP can prescribe paracetamol in larger quantities, or an alternative that is not so risky. A lovely chat Lynn. Aren’t grandchildren precious. We love them so much. We’ve got 9 grandchildren and a 10th is on the way (5 girls, 5 boys). We’re very blessed. They’re all wonderful. Except for our eldest who’s 17, they’re all very young (7 of them under 6) and will have all visited us or stayed with us this summer. We go out somewhere with them every day. It’s been hectic and exhausting but incredible fun to see them. They make us very happy. We have more of them visiting soon. It’s a little irritation about the painkillers. Oh my goodness,they are free here,and you can get them in most drug stores,flu shots are free too.Please read the back of your Ibuprofen bottle,ours says not to use over 65,and my doctor,whom I see every 3 months asks me every time if I’m using it as she is very against it,I don’t know what Paracetamol is,but I would check that too.Mushrooms! Slice,and fry with a little butter,or olive oil,salt,then add thyme,a couple of spoons of sour cream,dash of Worcestershire to taste,and pile on buttered toast,or on unbuttered toast. Great breakfast,or lunch.I had a thing where the nurse was trying to get blood,and nothing was happening,I have good veins,no problem to get blood from me,the needle wasn’t any good,so she changed the needle,and the rest went smoothly.You were saying about not being able to buy as much paracetamol as you like at one time,well I have one for you,when you buy beer,in the store you have to show ID to prove you are 21 and that includes my 79 year old self,how ridiculous is that.❤😊❤

Oh it’s a mine field Janet, the UK has some silly rules that’s for sure. We rarely take the tablets, just now and again for pain relief, if we trap a nerve or something. Can I come to your house for breakfast haha sounds delicious. A lot of having injections, taking blood etc is down to the person doing it, some good, some very bad. It’s all luck really who you get. Hi Lynn great video as usual. I have an infusion once a year for my osteoporosis and it’s done through a vein in the hand. They flush through the vein first and then you get the infusion. They tried four times with the needle with no luck and the had to do it at my elbow so all in all I had the needle put in five times lol. I also would like to loose some weight but it is very hard when you get older to do so. I play bowls a few times a week and keep active, but that doesn’t seem to help either.❤️

I think he forgot to draw the vaccine up in the first one, and he made an excuse because he drew it up in the same syringe once he’d changed the needle. I didn’t think about it till I’d got outside. Ouch, your elbow, flipping ek that must have hurt. Oh it’s so much harder to lose ponds as I’ve got older, it just doesn’t want to shift, mind you the snacks done help haha ❤️🌹❤️

😊 thank you Joanne, she such a little sweetheart. I like to let my hair dry naturally as often as possible, so I’m not using it to dry my hair, but once it’s dry, the brush is good for just smoothing it out, and turning it under. If I’m in a rush I’ll still use the straighters, but if not I use the brush, not very helpful really am I ❤️🌹❤️

Hi my beautiful friend, Hope you had a lovely day today. I spent it feeling really ill all day. Had an awful upset stomach and just a heaviness in my chest. I thought I might be coming down with something, but tonight I do feel somewhat better. Such a lovely vlog. And the bonus was getting to see little Ida with her adorable babies. Does she take them everywhere she goes? I remember as a little girl, my babies were so important to me also. When I was in 2nd grade, my mother had another boy, and then he became my baby. My mother says, I aggravated the crap out of him. LOL. I'm still amazed at how much cheaper groceries are there than here. I try to get the off brands when I can also. It does save money, and most of the time there really isn't much of a difference in taste. Those kinds of meds here are behind lock and key so we can't just grab them off the self, someone has to come and get them for us and I think we can only purchase one also. Not all stores are like that, but most are. The frustrating thing is trying to find someone to come and open the case to get one out for you. I can't believe you didn't need pampers. LOL that's crazy. The pharmacy we use gives lots of coupons out and never for anything we could use or need. Why not just give me a coupon for whatever I might need, instead of specific things. So, 99% of the time they are useless to us. Had to go and pick up one of Donald's prescriptions today. So glad we only live about 5 minutes away from the pharmacy that we use, especially with all the different meds he has to take. Another rainy day today. Yuck. He's wanting me to make some more cookies, but I told him we are going to wait a couple of weeks on that. haha I will be emailing you about the gift card. Good news is, the city is coming out on Monday to do the inspection. I am so thankful for that. Then after that is done, they are going to come out and finish the hook-up and turn it on. This has taken so much longer and so much more involved than I ever thought it would be. I had no clue it would take so long to get it all done. But once it's done, the company we hired to put it in, will do the maintenance on it themselves. So we won't have to deal with that. Isn't it nice to get your car detailed. We had it done once, when we got back from staying with my son the last hurricane. Between all our mess and the kitties mess, the car needed a really good cleaning and I just wasn't up to it. But it came out so nice. It was so worth it. If the rain ever stops. I do need to bring it to get washed, but it doesn't pay to do it now with it raining every day. I still have to bring quite a few things to the charity shop sometime this week. I have a nice little pile of knick-knacks to drop off there. I'm also going to donate a lot of the toys and things we had got the kitties that they no longer want to play with. So it's just taking up space for no reason. I also want to get the paint and get started in the bathroom. I like the taupe and I also like the sage green, so I'm undecided. I'm going to compare them once I'm in the store and then decide. Hi sweet lady, I’m sorry it takes me ages to respond, but I have to choose a moment when I’m on my own, my hubby talks for England, and I can’t concentrate lol. Aw I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well my love, I hope it’s nothing too bad, and that you’re feeling better now. She is obsessed with her babies, she loves them all, and she’s such a good mummy to them bless her. I think the same will happen with Ida, should she get a sibling, we won’t get a look in hahaha. I don’t think there’s much difference in the cheaper brands to be honest, I can tell with a few, but not many. The paracetamol rule has me perplexed, I just done get it, but hey ho it’s the way it is, so we have to suck it up. Flipping pampers, what’s the world coming to, I have one better than that, mu 74 years old KZbin friend was approached by a brand to review pregnancy tests hahaha seriously. There’s a pharmacy in Tesco, so I get all my prescriptions sent directly to them, and then I can pick them up when I go to shop. It’s raining here too this morning, but I think it’s supposed to brighten up later. Poor Donald, I hope I never get diabetes, I don’t know how I’d cope. Yes it’s been a long job hasn’t it, but you can finally see the finishing line my dear, thank goodness. I love to get my car valeted, the only thing is, they did inside and out, so they removed Ida’s safety seat and then put it back. We didn’t notice anything different, Harvey went to pick my so, his partner and Ida up, to take them to pick their cars up from a friends house, because they had been to a party there the night before, anyway all seemed fine, till they got there, took Ida out of the car seat, and it came with her, the valet people hadn’t fixed it back in properly, just imagine if he’d had an accident. Anyway thank god he didn’t, and she is fine, but how dangerous. Oh I’m sure the charity shop will appreciate your knick-knacks very much. Afternoon Lynn, you have got me giggling already, I think I might have stuck that needle in the pharmacist 🤣. I like to look smart during the day even if I’m not going out, it’s just habit I think. I hate vaccinations fortunately my lovely Mum-in-law took my daughter for me to get hers, when she was little ❤️. Ida is just so cute. I was in hospital in Nov 22 for an operation, afterwards the only pain killer they would let me have was paracetamol, now I’m 73, 5’ and I weigh 7.5 stone, can you believe they would only let me have one tablet 😳. Apparently I don’t weigh enough, when I need them at home, not often, I always take two but the nurse was adamant one was sufficient. I’m definitely with you and your first little rant, it’s a ridiculous rule. I’m giggling again about the pampers 🤣. Thank you for your video, lovely as ever. 😊😊😊

Warburtons do a small wholemeal loaf with no added sugar Lynn, only 55 calories a slice. I know you said you like your bread. It’s unbelievable that sugar is added to bread anyway! It’s the same in the USA except they add a lot more sugar and also everything has high fructose corn oil in it as well, so so bad for health. No wonder there are so many obese people nowadays. Just to let you know.. Here in Australia, if you are over 65, you can get your shingles injections for free, and they are available at most chemists. Just pop in, no appointment necessary...Aren't we lucky . I have had my first and will get the second in a few weeks. You paying $500 seems soooo much. All the best.

No that’s not the case Joy, I wouldn’t be paying £500 if it was. If you turned 65 after Sept 2023 you can get it free, if you are 70 plus it’s free, but if as in my case, I was already 65 in Sept 23, but not yet 70, not free. So I fast forward the food to see the clothes but get the pampers rant hehe that made me chuckle. Weight if ya want it you can do it no fads no starving no paying slimming clubs. Just good food but stick to calories loads of apps that make it easy. I weigh in kg now and everyday that took a lot mentally to get past too many years of slimming club hang ups. Get some exercise in but exercise can’t win against over calorie eating. So I’ve passed my 10 stone loss now I had a load of faff I do at every stone now 10 stone 6. At 24 stone I wanted to do riding for the disabled knowing I had to loose weight I went in and asked the weight limit would never have subjected a horse to that weight but got a horrid lady and never got the answer. Anywho it’s 13 stone and a bit for gear I am 1 stone away from it now it’s all a bit odd lynn can’t quite believe it’s in touching distance. We put our minds too it we can do it you know how you want to feel at the weight you feel your best. Think about cals protein and fibre I have choc everyday don’t complicate things and if you want cake have it just do like the wardrobe 80 neutral 20 pattern 80 food 20 yum.

I couldn’t believe the pampers haha. I’m not that into losing weight Debbie, I’ll eat healthy just like I always do, but I’ll cut out biscuits and crisps, that will do it. I’ve already cut bread out, and I don’t eat fried food, I eat lots of fruit and veg. I think sometimes my bloating is due to hormones and IBS. I think you should be very proud of what you’ve achieved, you’ve lost a full me, that’s took some willpower, I’m so happy for you. You’ll soon be getting up on that horse 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 aw I’ll remember that Deb, that’s a good way of putting it. Today I’ve had my yoghurt with banana and seeds, then a chilli with rice for tea, and 2 choc rice biscuits, and I’m determined that’s it for today, no snacking later on tonight. I went on for years fighting my lacto intolerance but that’s cause I didn’t understand it now I do and it’s made a world of difference. I like that nothing is bad or you know the words I just eat real food. Worst thing is the amount of clothes I’ve had and got rid of I know it’s a great problem to have. Do what makes you the most happy.

Hi Karen, oh they are so precious aren’t they, I have very fond memories of my granny, and I want Ida to remember me as a fun nanna. I’m not really bothered about the weight, but my GP said that my BMI says I’m about 10lbs overweight, so I’ll try and lose it, but I’m not in any great rush. We only use them every blue moon for those occasions when our backs may play up, or the occasional headache, I’ll buy a pack every time I go shopping and stock up, very often when the kids call, it’s a case of “ mum, have you any paracetamol “ so they take them lol. You know what it’s like lol. 😂❤️🌹❤️
