Harry reminiscing about old happy moments was actually sweet. But I'm glad that looking back made him realise how young he was and how he was always the one chasing after Ste. I get why he proposed, it must have been comforting to hear 'oh no you haven't changed, i still love you' after he sort of just admitted to himself that...yes, he has changed. His face during the hug shows all the cracks still there.

Harry is growing up and making realisations about the darkness in himself and I'm so ready for his next chapter. Instead of Ste, finally Harry is the one wrestling with a struggle, and I'm hoping he's the one who gets himself into trouble next, not Ste. And when he goes too far, Ste needs to be there for him just like Harry was there for Ste time after time. It was nice to finally get a happy scene with the proposal but if they do get a wedding it's clearly gonna be a mess (this is Hollyoaks) so I'd rather something stops it and they remain damaged but madly in love boyfriends and take care of the kids when they're not with Mike. I don't think this proposal is sealing their doom at all, I think this is a new chapter especially for Harry's character and we're gonna get at least a couple more years of them struggling but loving together with a new dynamic.

Yay to Harry acknowledging that he's changed and his frustration with himself for chasing after Ste like a lovesick puppy! :-) His expression at the end though is questionable. Will he still break up with him? Will he feel forced to be the old Harry and feel restrained from being himself out of fear that Ste won't love the real/changed him? Or will Ste have to learn to fall in love with who Harry is in the now and not who he was? I love Ste but Harry isn't a puppy on a leash. I feel like if they stay together and Ste messes up this time, Harry won't stand for it, he'll speak his mind instead of being the doormat and Ste can not only love him, but also respect him. He's not a child, so maybe Ste can stop treating him like one. As much as I love Ste, a part of love means being able to see the flaws in the person and acknowledging them.

Look James is no saint, but he is hardly the biggest villian in this town. And what Kyle and Sami have planned for him is disgusting to do to a victim of child/sexual abuse. It's what Walker did to Brendan with Kevin. I know a lot of starry fans hate him, but he's not all that bad in a town filled with morally grey characters, he's just like the rest really.

I have such mixed feelings about this proposal. On one hand, I love Starry so much, but on the other hand, I can’t help but wonder how both Harry and Ste could have separately changed their minds about being together (both wanting to break up) in such a drastic way, and later on *that day* they’re getting engaged. Still having mixed feelings about this one: Ste probably should take some time to himself and focus on his kids and dealing with what has happened surrounding Ryan. However, Harry really loves him and even though Ste has hurt him so much, when you love someone, you will walk through fire for them. The box was really sweet. I just hope they make it work this time, they need to have some pure happiness for once as a couple. As far as James, I feel bad for him because he is being taken for a ride by Kyle and though James has done some dirty things, he doesn't deserve this.

Aaahhh i get it. Harry fell in love with ste as a kid. And whatever he did was to get ste's love. Just like any teenager would do to get the love and attention of his parents. And now that he is older and realised he has changed like what ste said, there is a possibility he might fall in love with someone else as an adult. Because when a teenager grows into a young adult, he is capable of mature thinking and is more independent. Though he would not want to miss his parents' love. Hhmmm....not that i would like it if starry break up for good in future but yes, i understand it from harry's view. And i also understand it from ste's view as to why he thought harry has changed. Because harry would not hurt anyone on purpose even if it was ryan. But ste realised later that harry did not change because he keeps on fighting for the people he love. Harry's love is always unconditional and i think ste realised that even more. I love these two thoughts from both perspective. I wonder if this is what bryan kirkwood meant by re-energising starry. I'm looking forward to the coming starry scenes, to see what happen next after these epiphanies.

Tony Abreu I'm not against Starry 😒 but the only reason why I keep watching this show was because of Starry in the first place. I just wanna see a happy ending, even if that means they broke up 😌 initially, I wanted them to be together, but at this point, looking at how Starry relationship seems to be going on a downward spiral, I don't really care anymore. I'm more looking forward to what happen to Harry after what he has gone through seeing as he's been surrounded by all these misfortunes. (Not only with Ste, of course.)
