My problem isn't really with Ste's character; he's allowed to be upset here. My problem is with the grossly one-sided storytelling. It's like Hollyoaks is supposed to be the Ste Hay show and no one is supposed to care how Harry feels or want to watch him grow and struggle in his own storyline. Everything he does is directly for the purpose of affecting Ste or sometimes James; it's never actually about Harry. I just don't understand why the writers refuse to give him adequate exposition as Hollyoaks is supposed to be an ensemble show. From what I've seen, viewers like Harry and want to see him better represented in the storylines, and Parry has proven he's an actor who can handle every type of scene, including the dramatic ones showing his vulnerability which he was weaker in when he first joined the show. Ste struggles with drugs, losing Amy, deceived by Ryan, custody of his kids, and these things aren't about Harry at all but Harry is always there to support him like a sidekick. But Harry's only struggles are directly about Ste and guess what? Ste gets to make Harry's struggle all about himself because that's the way the writers set it up. Every time.

Yeonhee Ahn Exactly! That's actually the main reason why I stopped shipping Starry in the first place. Everything is always about what Ste thinks, what he does, what he needs, what he wants... And Harry is either his caretaker or his puppy. Never his equal. I want to see Harry acting his own age, maybe going to school or doing something more with his life. And while I am a fan of Jarry, I just want Harry to end it with Ste and find someone who will maybe take care of him for a change. Someone who will support him to make his own choices and who will make him happy.

Ynat Ste has supported him are you for real? Ste was going to go to prison for Harry when he confessed to "killing" the mother of Ste kids just so Harry could live his life. Ste even helped Harry escape the country so he didn't have to go to prison. Ste was there for Harry when Harry found out that Dee Dee is ill. Ste is hurting right now and can you blame him Harry lied to him for weeks and can you blame Ste for not wanting Harry near the man who pimped him out and tried to destroy their relationship so come back when you know the real facts.

No. Ste found out that Harry had killed the mother of his children, who he let be around his children everyday, so from his point of view, he had to get over Harry somehow because he was mad at him for doing that to him and his kids and Harry was also going to spend life in prison. That's how Ste saw things and decided to move on for his own good. She wasn't in a relationship with Harry by the time he and Ryan got together. So how is Ste in the wrong here, again?

Am I the only one who has a bit of sympathy for Sami? He had a legitimate reason to go after James in true soap opera revenge style- James did admit that he setup Sami’s father. He clearly loves Ellie and struggled with the decision to move ahead with the plan to frame James. When he needed that extra bit of money to pay off Kyle, he had an opportunity to con the money from his little sister, but didn’t go through with it. Frankly he’s just as much a complex character as James, try to break free from the past. His character is far more interesting than Ste who simply blows with every passing wind and “I am just a messed up good kid” Harry.

Oh yeah, in my opinion competing with Robron was a mistake, they don't have nearly the same amount of fans (it's dropped below 35% in the last poll HO did) or even importance in the press. The wedding has to be a disaster to not get completely overshadowed. So I expect something to go wrong for sure. @Tony - I disagree Harry definitely also brings out the caring and loving side of James but Harry is still somewhat reluctant to completely accept it, though that has massively improved in the last few weeks. So that will play more in the weeks to come. Jarry is where the fans are at, and have been for a while, if BK is smart and can finally let Starry go, he will start to make this pairing happen.

Something bothers me about today. Sami has never done anything to Ste. Why would he care what Sami did? Also, Ste doesn't have any feelings for Kyle. Why is he so keen on exposing him?
