James manged to get the charge dropped, but no mention about how. Was it insufficient evidence? Or did the arresting officer in question get tired of arguing with a on the hook lawyer who blocked every question asked, either advising Harry not to answer, or countered with a question himself, questioning the level or quality of the evidence against his client? Either tactic could prove successful, if James that way prevented the police from obtaining definite proof of prostitution - forcing them to having to drop the charge in the end. But since we didn`t see it play out on screen, this twist in the storyline wasn`t exactly convincing. Nor was the twist of MS sufferer walking with a stick pushing lawyer through glass table, but remains standing himself. In real life Kyle would be more likely of ending up on the floor. But even this way it was dictated to have happened by Hollyoaks, if Kyle had called and ambulance immediately, instead of calling Sami, the fact James only had sustained that one injury, when he fell and smashed his head into the glass table, would make it unlikely Kyle would be charged with anything. Since there neither were marks on neither Kyles own, nor James`, bodies suggesting they had been involved in a physical fight. That fact, and the fact Kyle had called for help immediately would have kept Kyle on safe distance to any serious charges, since there was nothing neither on the scene, nor their bodies, suggesting Kyle intentionally to have caused James harm. It would have been evident James had fallen through the glass table, but why he had fallen, would not have been obvious. But the above described circumstances would have reduced the suspicions of a criminal act - provided Kyle had called for help immediately. By calling Sami Kyle has really started to tighten the rope around his neck, since the delay in getting james help could be perceived to be a camouflaged intent to cause harm or death to James. So just by calling Sami, Kyle has gone from likely accident to possible grievous bodily harm or even attempted murder, as potential charges he could be confronted with. A little piece of advice, should anyone be unfortunate to find themselves in a situation where they have caused serious harm or death to someone. Don`t hesitate to alert help! You can worry about how it will effect you and your life later. But if you focus all your attention on the victim, getting help, conducting first aid and not do anything to alter the scene of the accident/crime, you are more likely of both being believed and win favor with both police, prosecution and court/jurors. Should you instead focus on yourself, and as a result there will be a delay in getting help to the victim, because you were busy trying to work out how to arrange things the best way for you. Such a delay due to self-serving interests will make the job much harder for your lawyer/defense team - perhaps even so hard it is not even a question of if you will have to serve time in jail, but how long.
