Judging from what has happened in previous weddings, that could mean one of them could end up being killed in some sort of disaster or murder. Weddings and Hollyoaks don`t exactly spell smooth sailing and happy ever after. More yet another twist on the eternally darker downwards spiral which is Hollyoaks story lines.

+Sasha A I wouldn't go that far, but it would make me stop watching Hollyoaks, should Harry be killed off. Ste, unless Kieron Richardson wanted to leave, probably is not in risk of anything like that, since Richardson is among the cast members to have stayed with the show the longest. I also think the story line, how it has developed, has ruined Starry, as a couple, quite significantly. A friend of mine very skilled in the field of psychology, has convinced me there are more plausible explanations for why Harry clings so desperately to Ste - and why Ste also wants Harry - than love. According to him, someone in Harry`s situation (closeted, and not sure how to get ut of the closet in one piece) would find Ste impressive and a bit of an idol, simply for being out. And when he discovered Ste also was attracted to him, that could make him see Ste as a safe companion to help him get out of the closet without too many bruises. Remember the only other gay person Harry knew of in Hollyoaks then was JP, who was his teacher. For those reasons my friend found it perfectly understandable Harry fell hard for Ste. Not only was he the only gay person Harry knew with the exception of his teacher, Harry admired him for being out and open, envied his confidence in that respect - and when on top of all that he looked to be attracted to Harry too, Harry went all in to win him. But then the big disaster. Because Harry went all in, and won Ste, Sineade decided to run off with Ste`s youngest child. Making Harry feeling guilty of having caused Ste to lose contact with his baby son, and therefore took it upon himself to prove to himself, Ste and everyone else he could make Ste happy. Because of that their relationship never had the right balance. Harry made all the sacrifices and provided all the work necessary to make the relationship work - while Ste took him for granted, and prioritized not only his kids, but both Amy and JP - even his own ego - over Harry. As a consequence the only thing Harry has gotten from the relationship is many hopes and romantic dreams, which never have been materialized. He clearly loves Ste - or at least believe he does, more likely, according to my friend, it is guilt for having caused Ste to no longer be in contact with his son - much more than Ste loves him. Harry comes way down the list of Ste`s priorities. But should at least have been number two, after the kids. That both Amy and JP got more time and attention from Ste, than what Harry did, clearly proves as much. My friend think Harry would have a greater chance of happiness with Kyle, than with Ste, because of how similar Harry and Kyle are as people. Both goes after the guy they like full on and all in, indicating they could expect the same passion, loyalty and devotion from each other - should they become a couple - as they now offer and show Ste and Ryan respectively. Ryan and Ste, because of their mutual past with Amy and love for her kids, my friend claim would be a much better match for each other, than both Harry and Kyle would be for them. My friend also suggested Ste`s past, of being neglected and badly treated, had created a need in him to be seen (and even the center of attention), and that was why he was with Harry. Harry`s devotion and loyalty towards him. According to my friend Harry is blind from love, and the relationship between him and Ste not likely to be happy, since the input and output is too unevenly balanced. My friend fear, and I am afraid I think him to be right, Harry one day will realize he loves Ste more than Ste loves him, and than will discover he has wasted much of his life on him, at the expense of his own education and personal development. Harry deserves someone who loves him with the same passion, devotion and loyalty he himself has to offer the other. And the way the story lines has been written the last little more than a year, that is not Ste. Either Hollyoaks has to improve Ste`s attitude towards Harry radically - or Harry should be given a new and more worthy love interest.

+Saima Nawaz There wouldn`t have been problem with Tegan telling James as such, since James being Ste`s solicitor is allowed to investigate the case and the evidence independently. In certain cases he is not even obligated to inform the police, until he, or rather the barrister, presents his evidence in court. The problem isn`t James, but Tegan, and the fact Lucas remembered the other man the same day he was with his auntie Tegan for the first time since Amy`s murder. Tegan being Ste`s sister could arise suspicion Tegan has instructed Lucas to lie. So James is an absolute idiot for instructing Ryan to get Lucas to lie. The prosecution would have done the job of undermining Lucas` testimony for him, had he brought Lucas to the police for a statement. I suspect the reason James didn`t take Lucas to the police - in fact didn`t even speak to Lucas himself (routine for any lawyer before making a decision on the merits and validity of a witness statement which could prove essential for the case) - is that he is afraid Lucas would recognize his voice as the man talking to Amy that night. But I don`t think James killed her. I think he left before she was murdered, and that the murderer has to be D.S Armstrong. He is the only one who both could have framed Ste by planting the partial footprint and make sure the shoe box was seized from Ste`s home. And if James was right in his claim the forensic was not even in at that time, that means that the only way Armstrong could have known trainers of the same make and model as had been in the shoe box seized from Ste`s home matched the partial footprint found in Amy`s blood, would have been if Armstrong himself had planted it there. Identifying a partial footprint, without a few candidate shoe soles to compare it with, is a job that minimum takes weeks - shoe manufacturers all over the world has to be contacted, so they can compare the partial print to soles in their production range - past and present - and all possibles have to be compared by the forensic team on the case, before it can be introduced as evidence. Furthermore, until every single shoe manufacturer the world over had reported back - and all other possibles had been excluded, would it have been possible to state with certainty what make and model of shoe which had left the partial print in Amy`s blood. That could have taken months, maybe not even been attempted at all, if there wasn`t available shoes of suspects the partial print could be compared directly to. Because of wear and tear a direct comparison could prove with certainty which sole had left a particular print. A shoe box would only inform a shoe of that type and model - maybe even size - had left the print. But since popular trainers can be sold in thousands even within a certain city or geographically restricted area, such a comparison would not be of much evidenciary value, and therefore in most cases would not have been performed. And if it had, likely would have taken months, rather than weeks - and certainly not days, as Armstrong`s claim, the partial print had been identified to match the make and model of the empty shoe box seized from Ste`s home, would have required. Therefore Armstrong has to have killed Amy for the revelations we have had so far to make logical sense. And if James saw Amy after Ste, that works well both with Mercedes` observation and the ringtone she heard to be identical to James` - and, because of James` fear he was the last person to see Amy apart from the killer, why he has sabotaged Ste`s case so persistently. He is scared, that should the police start to look for other suspects than Ste, he could be next. Hopefully this means he, should he find conclusive evidence who killed Amy, will eventually represent Ste properly. Had he done more to look at the case, than to sabotage for Ste, he probably would have realized long ago the killer had to be Armstrong, since it quite frankly sticks out as a sore thumb, because of Armstrong`s claim: the partial footprint was a match for Ste`s trainers. From the time of the interview where Armstrong first confronted Ste with the shoe box, to the date and times of the forensic reports, it should be clear Armstrong knew the footprint matched long before the forensic scientists had arrived at the same conclusion. Which meant the only way he could, was if he had made that footprint himself, to frame Ste. I suspect Armstrong was stalking Amy digitally, similarly to how he staked Leela and Cindy, and therefore knew both who had been to see Amy that night - and why - and also knew that Amy planned to leave with Ryan and the kids for America. I think Amy was killed either because Armstrong thought: if he couldn't have her, no one would. Or because Amy realized from his visit that night, he would have had to have kept some form of surveillance of her to know so much about her as he did.

I get that Kieron Richardson (Ste) just had twins and they have to explain his absence for long durations, but this prison storyline has to end. I have always loved James and his dark side but what he and Ryan are doing to Ste is just cruel!!

Did James mean they found blood that was consistent with Amy's blood type on the trainers but the DNA is inconclusive to confirm that it was in fact Amy's blood. not just her blood type?

i used to love james. but right now i really hate him! how can he do this? the kids lost their mother and he does everything for that they lose their dad, too. this ryan is never ever something like a dad. He isn´t capable of raising them. but greg does a good job playing the bad boy... as always. and harry be "the one" for ste??? hilarious ... second or third or fourth best okay. but not "the one". harry is just the only one right now who is there for him like j.p. was before or doug before him. "the one" is some one else who sadly never comes back (the man about whom he said: "you will always be my problem.") ... . but ste deserves some happiness. so if it´s harry for now it´s okay. let´s see what dramas will happen at the wedding or after ... ;-) .
