Great video. The Sounds of the Camino are lovely. I'm going to have to do the Camino myself so I can hear hours a day of Camino sounds rather than seven highlight Camino minutes from your videos. I love the landscape shots, all of the scenery is so pretty. I'm always in awe of the shots that are taken from a little bit above and show the trail below, winding with green on both sides of the trail. An incredible sight every time. The animals you show are always a treat, goats, cows and of course that cute napping kitty cat in the shade. I can only give you six out of five stars this time. I fear KZbin might reprimand me for haphazardly scoring a video with more stars than are allowed. Then I'll get in a lengthy battle where I will show minutes and hours of your videos and KZbin will overturn their decision and start allowing more than five stars when a video is worthy. For now, I won't risk it and I'll stick to only six out of five stars. This is very similar to driving 60 miles per hour in a 50 mile per hour zone.

Blake, I’d respond in kind if i had the actual time to. - but I kind of don’t 😰 But do know that I really appreciate your comments . i love the animals… and your 6 star idea! but what if KZbin acquiesces and then you’ll start going for 7? what then? 🤯 - either way this is food for making even better videos.

@@storiestellr Good point. If we don't try, we don't know what we're capable of doing. KZbin could acquiesce and you did 100 km in 24 hours.

I will be walking, at long last, just a portion of the Camino in September. Had planned to go in 2020 and everything fell through. I am a bit nervous about walking all day! I have wanted to do this for years. It is coming to pass and I am enjoying your videos. Thank you. Oh, I will not be listening to music which I can do at anytime.
@storiestellr5 ай бұрын
that’s great, it’s finally happening! no need to be nervous… it’s not all day, usually you’re done in the early afternoon. And anyway, you decide on the length of your stint… for the most part. buen camino! ☀️

Hi Gerrit Nice video's again. Thanks for sharing. I am walking tomorrow to Burgos for a two days stay. I started in Vezelay and i looked a lot of your video's. It gave me a lot of inspiration but i must be honest, le chemin in France was so beautiful and quite comparing to the CF. But i am looking forward to the Meseta. Buen Camino and stay healthy

wow, that means you’re one day ahead of me - I will be in Burgos two days from now. I really want to walk from Le Puy. Thanks for watching. Maybe we will run into each other! buen camino! ☀️

Brilliant monologue Siebert. I started May 3 but stayed at Orisson so was similar pace. LOVE your observations, they are helping me return to Canada... which is hard to find my new way.

I tried to replay your synopsis of Kierkegard’s observations on Busyness / my middle name - do you recall which episode that was in? His actual quote (googled) wasn’t as good as your paraphrasing !!😆

You’ve got a great voice for the narration. I enjoy the videos. I always watch Camino videos before I head to the trail. I’m heading to the Camino Invierno this Friday. Hopefully start on the following Monday. And then I will go again in July to walk the French Way with my 14 year old daughter. She wanted to do it before she starts high school. I’m giving us 40 days.
@storiestellr8 ай бұрын
thank you! That’s good to hear because hearing one’s own voice is always uncanny. So you have two Camino lined up one of which with your daughter - that’s excellent! And 40 days will give you plenty of time to really enjoy it. buen camino!

@@storiestellr thank you. The first one, I’m going with my 19 year old daughter and her friend. We are bringing a few more people with us. Should be a party of 8. The dynamics will be interesting. In the past, I’ve walked the French by myself, a couple Portuguese routes with my wife, a couple Portuguese routes by myself, and a couple other times with friends on the Del Norte and Portuguese. This will be my 8th and 9th times this summer. lol, I’m saying this because I have never made a video or vlogged. I feel very self conscious in front of the camera. I’m probably around your age-maybe it’s our generation. These next Camino’s I’m going to try and make an effort. If anything, I want it for family videos for my girls to remember. What kind of camera do you use? Do you edit on the trail? How do you store your footage?
@storiestellr8 ай бұрын
…bring on those dynamics! 😜 yeah it’s funny how just shortly after our generation, selfies became normalized. I doubt it’s going to get easy for us, but then again i also never thought i’d do a voice over narration 😅 This is my setup: shot and edited by the flesh of my teeth on iPhone 15 Pro Max (the “Everything Machine”), shot in Apple LOG x265, video Editing in LumaFusion, audio editing in Hokusai, wireless microphones , external audio recorder Roland DR-07 🥰, writing in the great Drafts app. Video files are stored on iphone, and uploaded to icloud if there is a fast enough connection.

and yes i’m editing while walking (or rather, after arriving). pretty grueling tbh

@@storiestellr Thank you for the info! I’ve got a 15 Pro Max. But when I purchased it, I didn’t realize I would be using it to capture video, so I only purchased a 256GB model. I just picked up a 2T Samsung SSD for added storage. You make great videos on the fly! Thanks again, and Buen Camino!

Please do show your face and talk to the camera. I have followed all of your videos so far and I think that the personal connection with both voice and face is important as I “walk along” with you :-) Blessings from the bottom of the world!

Hold your nerve. Listen to the inner you, the incidental encounters, the wind, the birds, your footsteps and above the silence- not music. Music you can listen to any time but the Camino silence is precious. I think some of your soundscapes are so evocative of my experience on the Camino. Perhaps the Camino is a soundscape, not a series of visual sequences. Buen Camino.
@storiestellr8 ай бұрын
the soundscape is indeed amazing, and so far that’s more than enough for me. It is a whole other layer of sensory beauty. like with pictures, i’m trying to record some of it - although it’s a new discipline for me, it’s extremely interesting. i’m glad that being the audio beginner that I am, i was apparently able to capture it sufficiently well to evoke it for you. or thing i want to do is record an entire day. mostly footsteps then 😁

Your films are a good mixture of showing yourself, but also we do see what you actually see … the things that appear important enough to you to show to us. There are many Camino-videos out there where someone just talks into the camera all the time and we miss out on seeing the beautiful landscape or whatever. So, stick to a happy mixture, I think. Keep up your style of reporting!

@KaterOnBike thanks Kater! from someone who knows, I will gladly take this advice.
