It's nice to see men who aren't afraid to get in the kitchen and know how to cook. One thing though: sweet potatoes are already sweet (hence the name) ...I might have added one tablespoon of brown sugar, if any at all, you can simply roast them and brush them with butter (you can consider adding a pinch of salt or other seasonings to the butter if you wish).

For stuffing I buy extra necks and put them along with the neck from the turkey and put it on a low boil in salty water for 8-10 hours, then take the necks out and take the meat off the necks. This is some of the richest and tastiest turkey meat you'll ever eat. When making the stuffing, use the turkey stock you just made to moisten the stuffing and cut up (but don't dice) the turkey neck meat and put it in the stuffing along with celery and crushed walnuts and onions.

That sounds SO GOOD. And practical! Great tips! 💯🥰 Love it. ✔️ I also love Oyster Dressing, but it's expensive to make. You have to use the fresh seafood department plastic quart/pint oysters, not canned, to make it taste right.

You could also use plain evaporated milk instead of sweetened, condensed milk if you're afraid of the sweetness, ha ha. 😉🧀🥛 I like to use those cans of sweetened, condensed milk to make easy, fast (no bake) "icebox" pies. You just combine the can with softened cream cheese and some (optional) whipped cream or whipped topping and then add your favorite flavorings. (Can of pumpkin pie filling for a Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake, or 4-6 juiced limes & cinnamon for a Key Lime Pie, etc) Just pour in a premade Graham cracker crust pie shell and chill in the fridge til set. Yum!

😅 Growing up in the South, I appreciate a big pot of greens! Especially with some cornbread on the side😋. I sauté the stems and add them in before cooking my greens. Helps with making sure they're cooked all the way when it's time to serve without over cooking your greens.

My granddaddy is from Texas but he grew his own collards in his backyard in South Central LA. He taught all of his grandkids how to pick greens and pull them off the stem. We pulled the leaves together and pulled the stem from the center. My grandparents and my stepdad who is from Georgia do not like stems in their greens. To each his own but that’s been my experience 😉
