Nice trick. Will the same be possible with Melda Stereoprocessor or will that also cause phase cancellation? I have that one but I do not have the izotope.

Also worth mentioning that the original audio source needs to be as good as possible. Best if you sample from lossless format but stay away from downloaded youtube tracks or low quality mp3..

Would you process a kick that you've sampled? I mean its already mixed and mastered and that kind of worries me

great question! you might have to...but usually nothing crazy! Just corrective moves, like subtractive EQ, to make it fit. You wouldn't need to compress the kick for example...it's probly already been compressed multiple times (stages) from the original track.

I don't think an artist owns samples after releasing a kick on their track. Because most samples used are royalty free ones from Splice etc
