Last year I was winter camping here in British Columbia, Canada and it dropped to -10 C but I had a nice campfire. I drank too much beer and waskey and ended up crawling into the tent and passing out on top of my sleeping bag. I woke up 3 hours later freezing cold!

You need to get yourself a couple of 60/40 butane/propane mix gas cannisters (like Coleman Xtreme) for the really cold camps. They can cope with lower temperatures than the normal 70/30. (probably more expensive but might be worth it on the odd occasion where it might get really cold).

Chris You can get insulated jackets/covers for the gas canister to keep it warm. Some even run off a power bank and warm the jacket around the gas canister. 👍👍

A tip when you are using your stove in low temps, heat a small pan of water up only need to heat about 5cm of water and its just needs to be luke warm, then put the gas bottle into the pan and it will not only work far better but it'll be able to use all the gas in the bottle.

I’ve used KZbin for about 10 years minimum and this is the very first channel I’ve ever subscribed to. Love the show Mandingo 👌 Canny little idea for a stealth camp for you too. Noticed at Boldon Asda there’s a load of bushes going round the outside of the car park. 24 hour supermarket so it’s risky but if anyone can do it it’s you.

Ray Miers and Bear Grills was saying, in cold, it's the fingers, toes, nose, you know that suffer the worst from the cold. Things that stick out at the end (oh Matron) stuff you know. Keep your feet warm, hands warm and nose mandingo or it will fall off lol. Your breath helps warm up your nose, away from the breeze, body a good temperature (no vein shrinkage, capillaries, arteries), higher from the ground (obvious), maybe a scarf will ding dang do? Certainly will mandingo.
