ha ha agree.....and over here in Europe the cemeteries look more rustic or vintage or even authentic....not the sterile flat grass plain fields with universal size gravestones in the US ( or as it seems Canada ). As a child in Germany I used to walk home at sundown and had to cross a cemetary which looked and felt very ancient and spooky.....and I always hurried along those few meters to cross the cemetery.... it was especially creepy because it has ( still has ) that ancient looking church right in the middle with that huge mosaic window overlooking the path........this church always reminded me of one of Stephen King's novels.....no lights but that creepy window seems to got illuminated by itself and cast an unholy shadow upon the lane toward the exit............as it was screaming to anyone to trespass the holy grounds

When my husband and I were homeless back in 2017 we would often "stealth camp" next to the cemetery that was, in turn, next to the hospital. It was a good spot as we were shielded from the road and hospital security eyes. Also we could use the restroom at the hospital. Convenient. Only once were we ever startled awake. It was in the middle of the night and a huge raccoon was going through his territory and making it known that he did not approve of us! Except for that it was otherwise always quiet and peaceful next to the cemetery. So much safer than laying your head amongst the other hundred or so homeless sleeping rough on any given night. Seeing this almost makes me nostalgic. Lol.

I camped in a rural cemetery that my grandmother is buried in. I drove 2,000 miles to put flowers on her grave & I arrived on a late Saturday afternoon. I drove my car & tiny camper close to her grave & decorated it; then I had a peaceful nights sleep after having a couple drinks with grandma. Her resting place is right next to a paved road & I did get a few people rubbernecking as they drove by, but no one stopped to question me. The success of this channel is due to Steve's humility and calm, respectful nature. He could have a channel about basket-weaving----he'd still have the same amount of followers. His behaviour would tell me immediately what their intentions were. Knowing him he'd probably make friends with them and join their pack. Then he'd slowly take over the pack leader position without there even being a fight. He's the type of dog you don't own or take for a walk. He makes his own decisions and you're walking by yourself while he just keeps an eye on you. If you try to boss him around or rush him, he'll challenge you. Such an epic dog though. Advanced level.

On one of my early bicycle tours years ago I once camped at a small town cemetery, way at the back into the woods a bit with my hammock and a big can of beer. Stormed hard that night and I thought I might get blown away by a tornado, but fun in retrospect. I love little rural cemeteries to stop into and have a short rest and refreshment on bike rides.

I was homeless when I was in my late teens and lived in a tent in the cemetery for several months, way in the back but out in the open. There were no graves back there yet. No one bothered me. Once, the police drove up in the middle of the night and banged on the front aluminum tent pole. I stuck my head out and he said, "Have you seen so-and-so?" He was a local kid that had run away from home. I told him I hadn't seen him, which was the truth. He said, "OK. Thanks." and went back to his cruiser and drove away. I went back to sleep. A few weeks later, after eating at the town restaurant, I came back to my tent and the fire department had driven their truck up there and turned a hose on the inside of my tent, soaking everything inside and demolishing my tent. I moved to the woods behind the post office after that. Good times!
