Stealth ProFisha 525 kayak walk thru. Do you wanna go FAST?

Hi, you mention you had a 555 before, how much faster is the 525 from that 555?

Only thing faster is a 575 - love my 525 its a 23 as well! - have a FISHA 500 too - its a wet ride but your kayak fishing? I’m probably gonna jump over at some point for a swim? Another down side is launching around rocks or whatnot you have to be more careful as its glass with plastic you can beat it on rocks not hurt it, nothing major but you have to pay attention. Stealth is the best!

I want a 575 so bad but they are pretty hard to find in the states. Yeah the wet ride has never bothered me much, I fished in Florida and now the Texas coast so it is hot here. I just figured I would mention it since in person I have had a bunch of questions about it from people.

Nice review of the Stealth ProFisha 525! What was your reason for switching away from the 555? Could you give us an idea of the handling differences between the two kayaks? And would you opt for a 575 if it was available?

The 555 was awesome but I really didn't need the additional stability of it over the 525. With the 525 you get moving noticeably faster and the glide is better with negligible loss of top speed. It does feel noticeably tippier but you get used to it quickly. The 555 is stable as can be, no tippiness feeling at all. The 525 being narrower, it is easier to hop on launching in shore breaks and just getting back in if you go for a dip. The 555 was sweet, the 525 is just another level above it basically. If I could find a 575 I would have purchased one in a heartbeat, it is supposed to be much faster than any other yak they make and I like to cover water but I haven't personally tried or even seen one in person. The next one I get will be a 575 or the 530 elite they make now.
