This little build is legit. Shows you dont need to spend thousands or overcomplicate stuff. Solid
@101perspective4 жыл бұрын
I agree. Though, this particular build appears to be more for road trips than actually living out of it for an extended period of time. He doesn't have much storage space for food, clothes, etc. No heater for cold weather. No toilet... etc. Nothing wrong with that. Just important to realize this when comparing it to other builds. Btw, I own a 2012 Transit connect. Just over 30 days is the longest stretch I've ever lived out of it. I find it very enjoyable. However, for me 30 days was pushing it a bit much. Two weeks at a time though is a blast.

Best transit I’ve ever seen converted! It’s a different build philosophically, he didn’t build a tiny house on wheels, he built a camping tent he never has to set up or take down. Rad!

I've never seen a van build this small before. I love that even though you can't stand inside, there's a bench that solves the problem. The guy who recommended a hammock for sleeping is a genius.

I actually kind of like the simplicity of this. I think I’d have a thicker sleep mat, but I love that he’s kept it easy, and yet nice.
@redwolfexr4 жыл бұрын
He did mention the mat was inflatable. He is camping out in a self-propelled tent. If you think of it that way his design makes a lot more sense. Main lacks are any sort of temp control (better camp where its temperate) and no cold storage so he is living out of cans and/or dry goods.

This is what I got recently for my Jeep Cherokee short wheel base, 2 of these Z Beds and they work great coz they can be moved around into different configurations, they fit perfectly in my Jeep ;) Having the 2 separate single seats/beds worked out better than 1 double coz of being able to have one as a bed, one as a seat or both as a bed etc. more options. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353088299719?hash=item5235b3e2c7:g:bUIAAOSwr-hdoYkQ

They might be in the way in his van, but I slept on the floor of my van when I went camping with it (it is not converted), and I used three separate sofa cushions with wool fabric on them. You can attach them to each other with velcro. It was warm and soft to sleep on, and I slept like a baby. I got them from a second hand sofa and they threw away the rest of it. When you put them on top of each other, they make a good foot rest. You can also use them outside for a picnic.

Beautifully crafted, well done! Such a good use of space. I love the kitchen kit in the door panel, so innovative. Costco sells camping mattress pads. Rather narrow for one person. But boy are they excellent! I have used mine for years in my RV. Very firm, but not rock hard. Great for the back. I think $30. They also sell a double, but not tested. The single mat is self inflating, durable, and a good buy. I thought the lockable roof rack was genius. So much space for big things, very well done! Dylan, thank you for lowering the volume of the music. I still find is obnoxious, but appreciate the ultra low volume which irritates less. Nice tour! Just that music issue.
