So my boyfriend and I are sitting here watching this beautiful conversion and notice something. At 2:00 or right before she says it's a Mercedes Sprinter, but when it pans to the front of the van it clearly shows a Dodge Ram emblem. Dodge also makes a sprinter. Has anyone caught this? Jw. haha.. I do think it's absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite styles that I have seen.

@@SoniaRaee is she not in the US? Propane manufacturers in the US add a chemical to it to give it a rotten eggs sort of smell. It's carbon monoxide here that we need to worry about that doesn't contain a scent. That's why you see a lot of American van builds with a carbon monoxide detector in their vans.

I really like her van conversion. For those who notice, she said she has a Mercedes Sprinter, but if you look at 2:00 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJelmquJpryep8U), you CLEARLY see that is a Dodge Sprinter. She doesn't have a Dodge Sprinter Promaster. She has one of the earlier Dodge Sprinter vans which has the same body as the Mercedes Sprinter. DaimlerChrysler made the Sprinter vans in Europe and then introduced a Dodge branded version of the Sprinter to the North American market in 2003, but the only real difference between it and the Mercedes Sprinter was the branding/grill. So she DOES have a Mercedes Sprinter body with Dodge branding. Mercedes owned the Dodge brand, through Chrysler, from 1995 to 2007. Then, in 2007, they sold their majority stake. FIAT now owns it. Just an FYI for those who may wonder.

I'm saving for my van and it won't happen this year for sure lol. But I'm on the path and I'm gona do it. I'm studying and I'm learning and making a lot of notes lol. It's a lovely conversion. Having lived in vehicles for my whole adult life ( Over 20 years ), I see only one issue. And it's only personal choice. I have always found that when you live in a vehicle which has a fold up and down bed, the bed always ends up being down. Maybe it's just my lazieness. Like I say, it's a personal choice, but for me a bed has to be a fixed thing. Difficult in a van.... granted, but possible. It is a beautiful conversion though. 5 star.

Really beautiful. The van also. I have one suggestion and one question. For refilling your water tank, I am sure you can find a larger hose and instead of pouring into the collapsible jug and then the hose to the tank, you can use a funnel to pour directly into the hose which will run into your tank. My question is you made a point of saying no propane because it's dangerous and I totally agree, but then said you have a propane heater in your storage. Wondering if there isn't a portable heater that would plug in (assuming you have enough elec. to power it.) Just thinking out loud. ;) Keep living the dream and stay safe and well.
