@@blexbottt5119 Haven't yet, but it's easily the AA for me. Exterior quality and attention to detail is one of my biggest selling points when it comes to airsoft guns, and the features on the AA is both more faithful to the original and seems like it's more ergonomic to use than the AW. After some browsing, I think the AA is a bit worse off when it comes to parts compatibility. But, I can deal with that.

@@blexbottt5119 Sorry, lost the notification. But yes, you're on the right track with trying to avoid importing guns. Depending on where you live, it can be totally fine with scarcely any added cost (importing within EU for example). But if you try to, say, import from the US overseas then you can be slapped with some serious extra costs by customs. As in, a significant percentage of the cost of the gun. Living in the EU, my rule of thumb is to avoid non-EU purchases at all costs. *Especially* from the US. It can go well, but it can also not. At any rate, did you get it? As for me, I changed lanes to a Type 38 Arisaka so I'll be putting this one on hold for now. Personally I'd hold out for the AA since the difference in exterior build quality is so big, but the performance and general feel of the EMG seems good too so it's up to you really.

In measuring the barrels you should measure to the end of the barrel, not to the end of the compensator. In the RS gun the barrels ends before the comp. starts. I realize that AA has taken some liberties here with that black painted slightly longer inner barrel sticking out. What are the lengths of each gun and compared to the real steel one? While they seemed to get better with the R614 and R614-1. Version 2 and Version 1 and whatever they call it in the US under JAG Precision, their lies about being TM SPEC Airsoft pistols are blatant. 3rd market compatibility is a huge trial and error process. They do perform good out of the box and get better when you get lucky with aftermarket parts. I’m talking from personal experience. Was able to upgrade the inner barrel (123 mm Unicorn, Maple Leaf hop rubber, EMG JW3 recoil spring, and Hop Chamber internals from Maple Leaf. Just recently got lucky with replacing their stock piston cap with AIP that has a better seal, getting rid of FPS inconsistencies. The loading nozzle has ZERO TM compatibility and you need to really dig for the stock nozzle availability. Not many stores carry their brand in our country due the issues with parts. I will be upgrading the nozzle spring and soon, firing parts with steel hi capa aftermarket parts. Hopefully I get lucky with those since the so called R614-1 competitive version parts are non steel. Overall, you get a good collector’s gun (PIT VIPER and SAND VIPER) at a low price but with the issues regarding parts and customer support, you end up with a fancy paperweight or display piece. Army Armament or JAG PRECISION. All the same under all the marketing hype. Buy but be prepared to hunt down compatible parts.

10 minutes into the video proves you wrong. The EMG/AW aka WE OEM, is literally the typical WE replica. Thrown together without a care about fit & finish. Read up on them on them, and their LACK OF performance will tell you everything about the lack of quality. Just looking at them, the beavertail and frame gaps should make you steer clear of the AW/WE!

I would love to get one but sadly they both aren't fully TM compatible as the rear sights are different and from what I've found out the dimensions inside the housing slot is completely different from aftermarket housing and you can't upgrade the outerbarrel which is a damn shame but hop up unit can be changed but most of the internals can't as it may not function properly without them. To me I got the army Armament R501 as it can be compatible and its more reliable as you don't need a 8mm Allen tool to tight up the compensator. In my opinion your paying for a collection type not a regular usage airsoft pistol.

Actually according to my understanding the Army version has the correct length while the EMG is too long. Barrel length is suppose to be measured from the breach to the end of the barrel. But in this video he measured to the end of the compensator, which is incorrect. The measurement should end at the the start of the compensator. With that in mind, the Army version measures at exactly 5 inches while the EMG is 0.5 shorter Unless the 5 inch is measurement including compensator. Then the EMG would be correct.
