Same!! It actually saddens me so much that even with the huge 90s revival of the late 2010s and with the more recent HUGE early 2000s revival (not to mention just tiktok's entertainment nostalgia like with ATLA, Harry Potter, Twilight, etc.), that Buffy didn't blow up again or get talked about that much 😢. I didn't grow up with it or anything, I just happened to click on it my sophomore year of highschool like 2 years ago and It's become one of my favorite pieces of media ever. And the fashion...OH MY GOD THE FASHION!!!! I'm hoping that before the 90s and 2000s hype dies out (if it ever does, which I hope not) that Buffy fashion will get the widespread appreciation it deserves

Just watched the other clueless video right after this one and I just don't get why they didn't think you were pretty enough to model the outfits yourself. Finally watched Clueless for the first time last year, and it is as iconic as it's made out to be. Then I discovered the TV show. Wow. The monochrome outfits took my breath away! I love the vibrant but soft colors (soft in my book meaning less intense than neons, but still vibrant like lime green.) And it wasn't just Cher and Dionne sporting them, it was Murry and Sean, along with the extras in the background. I found myself pausing to see those extras walking past. (Fun fact Mona May is credited with costuming 18 episodes of the TV show in 1996-97, according to IMDB.) I will be recreating some of the iconic looks from the movie once I have plans again (after the panorama.) I'm excited to rock Dionne's matching leopard set, Cher's matching red plaid jacket/dress, and almost any of Ambers outfits (lets be honest.) But I am most excited to play with monochromatic/duo chromatic(?) outfits in every color!

Fun fact: Mona May said the costume budget was VERY small ($200K). Cher alone wore 68 outfits total in the movie. So that on top of all the other characters' outfits (as well as the extras) makes the fashion even more impressive!! I signed up for some zoom meeting/questionnaire thing she did and it was soooo fascinating!!!

hands down monster high has amazing cotume design !! like the girls all have their own aesthetic, ranging from frankie's academia looks to clawdeen's y2k aesthetic and of course draculaura's victorian-esque style. but also side charcters and interpretations of how they might dress. like for me i think venus mcflytrap would thrift clothes to resuse or abby bonniable would find places outside of the himilayas too warm so she would still wear skirts and dresses when its winter at monster high but still has big fur coats to remind her of home
