I agree with your sentiment on most of the Paradox DLC's, but a warning (as I play quite a few). The general rule of thumb is that the older the game is the more of a requirement the DLC's are. EU4 is probably my favorite of all their games, but it is like 10 years old with 10 years of DLC's. Good video though!

And with less than $50 you can get all DLCs on EU4 and base game at the moment. So great deal

FYI. for those who do not know: Slay the Spire is polished to the point where it can not be polished anymore. There are many best games, but none is worked to the point where you can not improve it anymore.

came here because you cried about people not liking this vid on a civ video 🙃 but I hope you do make more of these. I've been meaning to buy slay the spire and I finally did thanks to you. I'll HIGHLY recommend Against the Storm to everyone. Glad to see it make an appearance at the end. The tangent part here also got me thinking. Is it very difficult to obtain US citizenship from a country like NZ? what types of barriers are there (aside from moving cost) that would stop a professional youtuber from moving from NZ to the US? genuinely curious!

Honestly, the only reason humankind wasnt a “civ killer” i think is because it was such a different experience. It felt like the grand strategy version of civ, so civ still takes the cake for that streamlined strategy builder

WH 40k Gladius Relics of War, is def worth a try if you like 4X genre. Much more about combat than managing a civ, still very fun and each factions very unique, regardless of era. (No era) If you love WH 40k, must buy, if not, still worth a try, go Space Marine or Necrons first tries ... XD Game can be hard with other more "specialty" races". If you're a fan of the settings, any factions is enjoyable although I haven't touched Ad Mech, Sis, or Drukhari.

Hey man i'm wondering if you could help me; I'm trying to remember an old Xbox 360 game i used to play as a child and have like very vague memories of it but will give the details: It was like a fantasy 4x kind of game with lots of different Gods/Charachters that you could choose to play and fight against I wanna say it had like a hex map but unsure on this (but most likely a hex map) You would choose your character/god and start on the map somewhere, and there would be all the other gods like spread out in a postion on the map and you could go up to them and fight them, then it would take you into a fight The only characters i can remember off the top of my head were extremely godlike, like a fire guy and an etheral green sauron type guy, i also remember there were quite a few characters to choose from, maybe you unlock them as you defeat them. I cant for the life of me remember what the game was or was called, but its like one of those fever dreams ive been trying to remember for months lol If you have any ideas whatsoever on what this could be i'd be eternally grateful! All the best!

Cities Skylines 2 is still not worth it especially only 20% off. The new patch broke the non existing ‘simulation’ even more. Every update is two steps forward one back. The performance has gotten worse the past couple patches. CO don’t know how to code.

A little surprised that Stellaris is not on the list, guess it's because it's not a turn-based. But really recommned that game. I spent hundreds hours over that.

Oh man.... It's mentioned in the PDX section, and its definitely an enjoyable game. But also, one I've recommended so many times (and with such a great legacy) that I'd be surprised if its really news to a lot of people. Not dissimilar from some games on my list... but I don't want them all to be like that!

Seeing Civ 4 and 6 side by side i miss the asthetics of 4 and 5. 6 IMO was masjor step down in terms of visual acpect.

I would say Civ 4 and Civ 6 have a similar look at times especially for their leaders. Like both Gandhi’s look similar for example. Civ 5 had the most serious look to any civ game and felt more immersive in that regard. I could also see Civ 4 and 5 having similar terrain aesthetic. I love 4, 5 and 6 though. Excited for 7.
