Gonna throw some stuff by you guys. 1. When steaming, there is VERY little moisture to lubricate the towel. This can absolutely cause microscratching. You may not be able to specifically point out individual scratches (without a microscope), but it can and will dull the paint. 2. These guys didn't change towels ONCE. Every piece of dirt/debris are in those towels being rubbed on the paint (again, with little to no lubrication.) This is what is going to cause you're deeper scratches. 3. You said in another comment that it didn't leave any swirls in your paint, but you can clearly see that at the beginning of the video there are already swirls in the paint. (this is not a dig, just making a point) So it would be very difficult to tell if it added any more. 4. The claim that the paint will stay cleaner LONGER is complete bullshit. If they added some sort of wax/sealant/coating? Sure. But there is absolutely nothing keeping the dirt from sticking to the paint just like it would without being steamed. 5. Exclusively steam cleaning carpet is not cleaning it, it's driving dirt further into the carpet so it can't be seen. Like waxing a car with tons of swirls to cover them up for a little while. In conclusion, steam washing paint CAN be executed properly, but these guys aren't doing it properly. This is in no way meant to be "hate". I'm just sharing information that most of you guys probably don't know. If you have any questions about anything I said, feel free to let me know. I'm no expert on the steam cleaning, and I'm certainty not being paid by them. It's a new business and they're probably the only ones that do this in Southern California. I personally don't see any scratches after the cleaning and I haven't looked at it with a microscope either. I was very happy with their services, i did see them using at least 2-3 towels each guy when steam cleaning. The video is short, so it doesn't show the complete cleaning time, and they hand wax the car at the end. Total washing time was probably about 1:30 to 2hrs.

Steam is okay if done right too...These guys are blowing the dust and grime from the car onto the cloth theyre wiping with..NOT GOOD...The towel will grab on dust and dirt or grit and scratch the clear coat and paint...These guys have to learn to wipe with the direction of the steam...and Change the Micro fiber towels frequently with new ones. Than after lay on a wax and buff the car. If they the customer doesn't want wax...then these guys have to make sure they wipe away with the direction of the steam and change the towels as soon as they get dirty. Only way to save the cars paint and clear coat from swirls and scratches.

For the android unit can you play music through Bluetooth in the back ground while using other apps? Or only for the music app because I noticed the music stopped after you exited the Bluetooth music. Also can music play while using the torque app on the gauges?

yes, you can leave the music playing while you use other apps. I've done that plenty of times while having torque running.

I have a 2011 gsr with leather and sunroof option as well as the hids and the Rockford audio but I definitely love how that screen looks gives the interior a more luxurious look

Ivan Leung I bought some yellow tint, cut them in the shape of the corner turn signals and applied them. It was simple. I just first put it on top and trace over with a marker then I cut it and stick it on.

i wouldn't know the exact time since we were doing the video and i was recording different stages of the process. I would say it takes just the same amount of time as any other mobile car wash. Of course it will depend on what kind of wash you're doing.

What? Exterior steam cleaning is one of the safest ways to clean. Larry (AmmoNYC) even did a video on it. He just doesn't do it all the time because it's more time consuming.

wrong! Yes he did it in one of his videos yes, but that was only cuz it was a barnfind and he even said "I would not do this if I was not going to correct the pain later". Why would it be safe to rub a dry towel over your paint just cuz u steam the paint a little bit?

Rubbing a dry cloth on your paint is never good for it. Maybe you ought to rewatch the video you referenced, because as Albin said, he wouldn't have done it if he wasn't planning on polishing it later.

interesting... I LOVE my car and trust me, I take really good care of it. I haven't had the chance to wash it again with these steam cleaning company, and the car looked amazing when they were done, no marks or cloth strikes from cleaning. The steam coming out of their machines wasn't completely dry, it had a mist and the dirt was literally falling off as they were going over it. I don't know what else I could tell you, but if this would have been a bad experience, I wouldn't have posted online.
