Also i am pretty sure that the platers need a really good finish to start with as that reflects the finish after plating.

Great vid Norman, I've had success in the past by tig welding a slide hammer to the fat end of taper pins, pounding on the skinny end swagges them out. good shot with drilling your pins out though! I have a 6nhp wallis 2489 so will probably be going through most of what you're doing at some point. I know what you mean about shimming every job i do has previously been shimmed up or down. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

@@chrisanderson7370 Thanks 👍 Will have to try that on the next one, they have been together over 100 years not surprised they put up a fight. Definitely not going to fall off. She’s definitely going back together without 10mm packers and shims. If your engines ever down this way let me know.
