I saw Furness No. 20 in a video of Autumn Steam Gala of the East Lancashire Railway, 2024. She is a real beauty! Nice video.

She had a 150th "birthday party" at Locomotion with a cake (slice of which went in the firebox) and local telly covering the event. I was there to film it but didn't think it would make a very entertaining vid'. Lord... that's over 10 years ago now! Glad you like the film- it was thrown together with the standard Windows program and I took a second crack at editing it when I got better software. Both versions look rough as hell now.

@@TimRuffle Ah, I saw that birthday party in somebody's video! It was a most unique idea to celebrate the loco's birthday like that, very touching. My slideshows are made with Movie Maker, so I'm not surprised with the quality.

@@ncs8730 It mainly looks rough because it was shot with a still camera. I can't criticise Movie Maker really- it's fine if you just want to cut the crap bits out of a holiday video and add a few titles.

@@TimRuffle You've got a different experience with Movie Maker, unlike I've got. My photos lose quality to some extent after being set in a slideshow with it - and posted here on youtube ... is it the fault of youtube then? You can see the difference between the intro photo (unprocessed with Movie Maker!) and the same photo in my slideshow kzbin.info/www/bejne/paTaZHWFq698pdU By the way, my Movie Maker (it is an incorporated program of Windows XP) says its maximum size is 640x480 dpi; my photos are larger.
