Is there a way to separate their games on the Steam Deck? It's easier to sort on the PC but haven't seen a way to do that on the Deck yet.

@@bjwilliams1548 I solved it. Basically this happens when you don't already have a family so you have to create one from desktop mode and then you can use It in gaming mode.

I've read Steam's official page about this feature, it says "It's available on Steam beta". So you probably should be in Steam beta version. "Settings > interface > client beta participation > steam families beta" should do it.

Does this have to be on the same IP address i.e in the same house or can you add say your brother in his house and share games ?

Up to five or six people. This means you can share libraries with your friends and it will show up as a single huge library for every single own of the family members. I already did it with my friends and honestly it's been so great, it's like I own 200+ games. You can play them for how long you'd like, get cards and all the achievments, and the progress in game isn't shared so it's all yours.

yes. every account has it's copies so if you start a game from the list of your friend, you just use this game copy at the moment and not the entire library

Can you now play shared games even if their library is in use? I find family sharing useless because the other person has to be NOT PLAYING any games in order for you to use their library. What's the point?

I checked this, and it is currently NOT possible if both persons are online. The other person gets a message, that one other person in the family is currently using the game. Offline it is possible.

That not a new feature though 😂 steam deck or just steam alone you could always family share and automate show both library. But playing the same game at the same time through family sharing wasn’t possible before
