Pretty well the video that gave me the bug to get into live steam, watched it all the time when I was a kid. Presently in G Scale, so still watching it go instead of riding, but one day I hope to change that by moving up a gauge.

My son and I are in 7.5 trains. For me, the TV show Silver Spoons and Walt Disney inspired me to get into the hobby. I never knew there were so many people in the hobby

well, there's at least a couple clubs in every state in the US, and all over Europe etc... and of course hundreds of private tracks... these things have been around almost as long as the real thing lol

Thank You, Thank You to YT for having this video appear in my suggestions. It is absolutely spectacular in all respects. The videography, audio, editing, interviews, detailing, history are mind blowing. God bless all these greaser steam heads and may they always keep their steel on the rails. Now here's the greatest part. I flipped when I saw that first frame with the initials "PVLS" on the bridge. Those great guys are right down the mountain from me and yes, I have been there a few times, all good memories for sure. Marvelous group , colossal railroad!!! Hi Ball. Full steam ahead. - David. Well, it's not too hard to get into live steam, it's just a matter of time and money. Personally, I'm in G scale live steam. Too small to ride behind (though I do want to get a bigger 5 inch gauge engine someday), but I still get a big kick out of running my engines around the line I built in my backyard. I'm admittedly on a tight budget, but even so, I was able to save up and build my first engine from a kit.
