@@AKABILASETOFICIAL I don't think it works so , the very hogh pitch sound comes from the actual air coming out of the turbine case , but it does not have a corellation directly to the turbine itself , i think so. Think about it as the air column which vibrates in a whistle to produce the sound. And the RPM , i estimate the valour of hundreds of thousands of rotation per minute. @marshall53 жыл бұрын
@@maxverstappennonofficial there are good videos on KZbin that explain this is a friendly way. My understanding is that motor rotation frequency (rpm) is directly linked to sound wave frequency that it emits. The trick with solving this specific problem is that the turbine has multiple fins and we don't know how many. This is important because each additional fin will increase the emitted frequency. If we knew the number of fins on the turbine has we should be able to divide the sound frequency by that number to determine rpm

If you want your turbine to last then you will want to add a superheater to the steam line just before the turbine, this will remove all of the moisture in the steam and prevent damage to the tubine. It’s pretty simple to do and only requires you to heat the steam a bit more after it’s initially generated, can be done with a copper coil that the steam passes through being heated above the temperature of the saturated steam.

@@benleister -- Will the blades last longer with super-heated steam? And, what is the minimum temperature to be "super-heated"?
@benleister Жыл бұрын
@@gman21266 hey mate, the blades will last significantly longer by using superheated steam. If you hear the steam above its generated temperature then it turns from saturated steam into a gas (superheated), this means that there is no moisture in the gas. I believe that if you passed the steam through a pipe that had fins in it or even a coil and heated the pipe with a burner then the added heat would create the much better (for this purpose) superheated steam. Saturated steam like what’s used in this video is not used in turbines due to the damage the water vapour does at high velocity. As for minimum temperature, I believe that if you’re generating steam at 120c then once the steam reaches 121c it turns into a gas state. Ive been led to believe that this is the case regardless of what temp it is generated at.
@benleister Жыл бұрын
Something to keep in mind is that this steam will be invisible to the naked eye, and is usually accompanied by much higher pressures. It’s dangerous stuff 😅, because it has 0 moisture in it when in the superheated state it’s not very useful for heating purposes. Here is a link to some info en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superheated_steam I learnt about it whilst getting my boiler operators license and the instructor said it’s quite easy to do and the implications for turbines were tremendous.
