We skied there in 2018 and like it so much, this summer I returned to bring home a part of Steamboat history. I won a chair from the Christy III life. They took this lift down at the end of the 2022 season after running for 40 years. It was a long trip their and back to IN. But so worth it. How many people can say they a chair lift, chair in their backyard. I made it into a porch swing for around the firepit.

By far the best video recap I've seen for Steamboat Springs! We plan to take my parents there next year (they are in their mid-70s) and can't wait 😍 We grew up skiing, them taking us on family vacations to Colorado or New Mexico when we were kids.. And so while they no longer ski the still LOVE doing all the mountain stuff! And Steamboat has been a bucket list item for my dad for as long as i can remember. Thank you for all the great info!

Thank you for this video. My husband and I enjoy skiing but not experts. We've been going to Park City but we want to ski in Colorado. Steamboat sounds perfect for us. I wondered about the access from the regional airport... availability of rental car, etc... this video was very helpful.

Thank you for this video. I just have a question about how much will cost a 5 to 7 days trip to this place for two adults and two kids?

Thanks for sharing. I’m from Houston as well. Which airport did you land? Did you take a taxi or rent a car from the airport? We never been to skiing before, how many days do you recommend we should stay? December is a good month?
@Meg_O Жыл бұрын
We flew United directly from IAH to HDN. I definitely recommend going that route over flying to Denver. Southwest also flies into HDN (I think seasonally), but it's not direct. We rented a car at the HDN airport and I'm glad we had it so we could explore the airport a little more on our own time. I know there are shuttles, as well, if you prefer to do that. If you've never skied before, I think 2 days of lessons is ideal, so maybe 3 skiing days? 2 to learn and 1 to try it by yourself. I'm sure December is a great month to go!

Why don’t you recap how much that Steamboat trip would cost for a family of 4??? I was just there and lift tickets are 225 per person, per day. A hotdog was 9 dollars. Tell the entire story.
@Meg_O2 жыл бұрын
What entire story? I laid it all out between this video, the description box, and the accompanying blog post. Why is this such a big deal? Explain to me how much more I could share. People drop $5-6k for Disney World. I would compare this vacation to that, price wise.

Hello @. Meg_O. Great video of your family's trip to Steamboat.🙂💙❄️⛷️ .I enjoyed it. Good explainations of some restaurants, hotel info, and snow activities.🙂 Cool drone shots and other footage. Dont know why other dude askin for "entire story"-guess he was affected by expensive costs there and expected to see a specific financial breakdown in this vid. That is not why i watched your video. I went to Steamboat in late Feb. And had a blast.I hadn't been there since 1987😮😀 Skiing was awesome and i did some snowtubing. Cool how your husband broke away a bit to do some higher level skiing by himself. I actually did my trip by myself and took a refresher ski lesson. The people on the mntn. Very friendly I found. Could ask people questions and meet others on the lifts or on mountain. I did not rent a car-rather took the Steamboat Express. *I learned about the ICON pass too late..but perhaps I can save some money on lift tickets next year. -fun vid-Yall take care🤙
