Showed some of the figurative language from these songs to my ELA teachers, and they were blown away. I'm dissecting every little nook and crannie of any figurative language and deciphering it. This is definitely an overlooked masterpiece of literature. Wow, that was great! Kinda reminded me of Legend of Danko from classic russian novel "Старуха Изергиль" It's a story of young man who led his people through the deep dark forest and when they thought they lost and can't be saved he LITERALLY RIPPED UP HIS OWN HEART that shined like a flame and showed his people the way and died as soon as they come out of the forest

People keep talking about how the story is tragic and sad, but I think its beautiful. Candle Boy died happily because he achieved his dream of becoming something or someone great. And he did by protecting the children and leading them out alive. While it is sad that he lived a short life, the ending he got was the best ending he could ever dream of, and I'm happy for him.

Though in a literal sense, the way that candles serves as one of the few symbolism' of ( birth and death) brings into fore the valorous deed/s of the lone boy made of wax . No simple words could express the bitter sweet taste of, Candle boy', lone sacrifice that seeps from this song as if it were wax - trickling from a solitary candle placed atop of a STEEL pricket .

Probably one of my favourite songs. It's a story of a boy who wanted nothing more than to become someone or something great. And he was. He died, sure, but he died a hero, after having successfully led the three lost children to safety. He got what he dreamed of, and although it cost him his life, he knew the consequences when he lit up his wick, and he did it anyway. Good for you, Candle Boy.
