Let me explain: Russian sleep experiment: That 5 men is the test subject to russian sleep experiment. Russian experiment is an experiment, that the victim will confine in empty room, and the room, instead of oxygen its a chemical that the humans can't sleep. So the first day in russian sleep experiment or RSE is normal few days later the test subject began to rage and extreme screaming until there voice will cut off. A few days later again, the test subject is eating themselves and their flesh and organs are showned up its disgusting right?. The radios where the test subjects can talk is disable , the scientist replace a new but its not working and the test subject using their poop theycover the glass using paper and poop as a glue. And that room is pretended like a pool of blood and the sink is block by the organs of the test subjects. Other of the test subject was dead because other of them was eaten, kill themselves, and more. And the 1 of the test subject is survive. So the scientist decided to change the chemical that humans can't sleep to oxygen. And scientist said if the test subject smell oxygen or sleep they will die. Lyrics explain: "five men were told a lie" 5 men is an enemy of russia instead of killing them they made it a test subject or experiment them. "They grasped upon ill fortune" The 5 men accept the russians will. But 5 men regret their decisions so it is "they grasped upon ill fortune'' means they got a bad decision or destiny.. "Deteriorated minds, they tore at flesk like snakes" Their minds are getting crazy because of the chemical, when you not getting sleep your mind would get crazy. "They tore at flesh like snakes'' It is a test subject toring and eating their flesh and organs. The terrifying thing is that the story "Russian Sleep Experiment" partly based on real experiments done by the Japanese. I'm not sure on an experiment that forced people to never sleep - but plenty of lethal and cruel experiments were forced upon "prisoners" in Unit 731. (and let's not forget Japan's horrific prisoner of war camps) Yet today, most people seem to forget that the Japanese were perhaps the most brutal nation during the world war. Yes, I admit, I love Japanese culture, ect. But the things commited during the war are downright disgusting, so to all you weeaboo's/otaku's - your beloved Japan has an incredibly dark past. Of course, there was other countries performing experiments, but for the most part, nothing comes close to the brutality of 731

So true, some of the old "insane asylum" treatments were universally horrific I remember seeing images of one treatment of a girl with her arms tied outwards to the walls. ***** it's a creepypasta. I haven't read it in ages but it was basically about some scientists putting five guys in a room filled with a gas that prevented them from sleeping. After weeks on end without sleeping, the test subjects start rejecting food given to them and start eating each other or themselves, and they do some other weird shit. When the scientists let them leave, they no longer want to. I'd suggest looking it up for the full story, I don't think it's particularly long.

Can we be grateful that out of all the creepypastas, we had this masterpiece to knock them out of the park? No creepy monster, no mutilated serial killers, no demon virus, no curse that you have to pass on or die, not even a Lovecraftian god, no, just the horrors of what man can do to each other and the theoretical horror of this type of thing. The Russian Sleep Experiment will never not be the best creepypasta to me. It's such good psychological horror, and honestly realistic; for a while I thought it was real. If you're like to hear about a similar experiment that happened in real life, look up the MK-Ultra project. Ironically took place around the same time RSE was written to take place in (the Cold War), essentially human experiments carried out by the U.S. trying to discover a method for mind control.

I listened to this before I went to university. then I was kinda curious to try a day without sleep or sth. And when you go to uni, you have to do more work than highschool, right? So one day I decided to stay up late cause the deadline is near. It's was the weirdest things I ever been through. I was wide awake with out coffee or tea and the next day when I came to class I was exhausted physically but my mind was still wide awake. I even attend class with perfect attention from start to finish. That whole morning was like my soul separated from my exhausted body. But luckily when I got home I finally started to feel tired and sleepy and i went to sleep for 12hrs straight. It's midnight when I woke up but I managed to sleep again till the next morning. Moral of the story here, fellas: just go to sleep.
