Steampunk Wing Compass for Tabletop Game TravelBattle How To

Hello, friends. A few months ago, one of my subscribers contacted me. Jonathan, a cartographer by profession, also plays Battle Travel (board game) with his friends. Jonathan invited me to make a compass for the game he plays. He offered me several ways to create this compass, and the main thing is that this compass can measure 2 positions, 6.5 cm and 9 cm, according to the rules of the game. I liked this project, it's a little different what I'm doing, so it was interesting to me, and I decided to share with you the process of creating it.

Awesome art as usual Roman. I have rarely used compasses since I learnt how to use CAD software about 20 years ago but these are so cool that l would learn how to play that game just to have a reason to get a pair.

At first it was copper chloride and then oxidation for copper and brass.

What are those "plates" at 4m8s, holding the parts in the vice; they appear to be aluminium sheets with rubber in-between? And at the 6min mark, which reactions were those (I didn't see any wiring, so I'm assuming it wasn't electroplating)? Thank you!

Πρώτα το βουτάω στο νιτρικό οξύ, (ανάλογα σε πόσο ποσοστά θα το βρεις, μπορεί να χρειαστεί αραίωση, μέχρι 7%) (και χλωριουχος χαλκος ίδια δουλειά κάνει απλώς δεν είναι τόσο γρήγορα) και μετά το βουτάω σε οξείδωση χαλκού/ορειχάλκου, για να το μαυρίσω, (προσοχή με το νιτρικό οξύ, θα το δουλέψεις έξω, με μάσκα γυαλιά και γάντια, πολύ επικίνδυνο!)
