Malls always seem so big when you are a kid. . . This mall has changed so much! And Boscov's. . . I really can only think of one "clean" one and that is in Newark, Delaware, but even that is getting run down. (Haven't been to the one in Wilkes-Barre in years.)

Neon signs & filthy ceilings: No matter what mall you're in, you know you're at Boscov's.

I have never heard of Boscov's until I started watching dead mall videos, we have 0 in Phoenix

Unfortunately all the new Boscov's store I've seen no longer have any fancy chandlers in them. Nor do they even have that really cool '80s/'90s neon lights and signs in them anymore. Take for example the new Boscov's that opened-up last year at the Millcreek Mall in Erie, PA. That is the most ugliest most dull looking Boscov's store I have ever seen! And it's one of those new ones as well! WTF Boscov's?! Why?!

so, I'm watching while doing overtime at work and I looked away for like 30 seconds. when I looked back, Anthony had entered a store and I instantly knew it was Boscovs without having seen him walk up to the store (I looked at "oh my gosh look at this" housewares sign)

Talk about giving up on the mall. They need to paint over these chipped parts and white out that ceiling in boscovs or replace the panels =P

I was looking at the just expanded list of Payless Shoes closings that were mentioned on this USA Today article( www.usatoday.com/story/money/2017/05/31/payless-shoesource-discount-shoes-store-closings/102342766/ ), and I'm surprised the one at Mall At Steamtown escaped the closing list. Nice walkthrough vid, of this whole mall btw. I do wonder if the renovations they're doing to this mall(i.e. food court), will successfully get any new stores/places to eat to open here? I have that weird feeling it'll attract only a few places at most, but who knows?

How about a little sawdust in your sandwich? Good for some extra fiber? I hope they get some return on the money they are spending.

Sorry, I'm reanimating a zombie thread I know but this mall is in a great location, gives you access to the railway museum beyond and seemed to have quite a lot of foot traffic. Maybe mismanagement is what killed it rather than a lack of potential customers - I've seen the deadmalls that you, Dan Bell and others frequent and this mall doesn't really have those qualities.
