How to Connect & Configure a Wireless Router : TP-LINK TL-MR3020 & ALL : Wifi

Within five minutes this reminded me what I needed to do to troubleshoot this. I use TPlink connected to a guest network and lost the setup connection for some reason. Not just because I had to relogin to the guest network, but the actual link between TPlink and the guest network needed to be reset. So mahalo bradah (thank you in Hawaiian)

It can be configure through smart phone with wifi. Connect the device through wifi with the SSID & KEY prited on the device. Open url ( also printed on the device) and configure. Configuration of any wifi router are almost same.

Hi, Thank you for your comment .You need second USB cable to increase power consumption by connecting to another parallel power source . If you realize that you device is not not performing well due to low current, you can connect other USB cable to a different USB port also.

So I live in a motel with so-called free wifi. The cable modem is connected to the router and the motel gets 18mbps service but the output for the wifi is about 500kbps. If I stand holding my laptop three feet from the router with nothing but air between it and the router I get three bars. Only problem is I don't get to do that because the manager keeps it in a microwave oven and I don't have access to the room it's kept in. My room is 70 feet from the office and there are 7 cinder block walls between my laptop and the router along with a lot of metal. If I stand outside my room sometimes I get one bar but pretty much I have to stand outside the office holding my laptop with one hand and picking one finger at a time with the other hand and I still am sharing the router with 11 other tenants and a manager who plugs her ethernet directly into the router for her xbox which hogs all the bandwidth. OK so I have tried three different hot spots and despite paying a lot of money for each one, two don't get any kind of signal at all despite me living across the street from not one, not two but three cell phone towers and the third one gets a signal as week as the motel wifi. I can't move because there is no housing anywhere else in the city so it's here or I am a homeless person. I can't afford to move into a hotel. OK so I came here because someone suggested I get a TP link and that would cure my problems but this is the fifth video I have seen on the topic and despite watching them I am as ignorant as to how this is going to help me as I was before I heard of a TP link an hour ago. Can some one please explain what this device is and what it does and how it is going to help me get a stronger signal? One video said this is a router and if that is so that can't help me because I don't have access to the cable modem. If this is a hot spot then how is it going to help me since other hot spots have done nothing for me. Or is this some sort of fancy antenna that is going to help me get better signal gain? Anyone?

nunya biznez This TP-Link router has a WISP mode . You need any WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) enabled router and place between Hotspot and your Laptop. It will work as a repeater. Before buy you should check wifi signal range and data rate.

@ayan shah : This is up to you. If you want to use same network mode every time then you need not to reconfigure ,just power on your Router and PC it will automatically connect. If you wanna change modem, USIM, Network mode then you need to configure again.
