The street pads did great first stop only went to 208degrees lowest temp of all the tests! Second was 498 which was also the second lowest temp! So this pad and rotor setup is best for street driving as you keeping them cool and not warping rotors on normal driving! Normal highway driving for me an 1 hour in lower ny in the am traffic is moving at 80-90 mph nd to roll up on stop dead traffic at least twice a month you need great pads and rotors! I have a 2008 honda fit and have come down to inches multiple times trying to stop as hard as i can! Gets your blood going in the am! So after 40k miles of oem rotors and ceramic brake pads from local auto store im replacing! Hope these will help! I will do a temp brake test video of before and after for my 2008 honda fit! Im switching to hawk 5.0 pads and talon slotted and cross drilled rotors!

So for a Mustang on the street. What would be best for my Mustang GT? I never go to the track.

I would love to see some more information on the PP, Mach 1, and 350. I would like to pick up a set of track use only brakes for my Mach 1 incorporating the Steeda two piece rotors and DTC pads. Just not sure which combo. My Mach 1 is full send Steeda with dual rate Springs, adjustable bars, adjustable end links, camber plates and arms plus the stop the hop kit with a K brace.

Great info! Could you run any of the DTC’s with PP rotors, or should I upgrade those too? Understanding there is a difference between optimal and acceptable.

yeah but how does this compare to just whatever brake pads came with this mustang? How would the "street temp" stop compare to the hawk hps 5.0 "street temp" stop?

like to see how 5.0 pads compare to stop techs

@@steedaautosports it would be awesome. Stop tech is more budget friendly but does it function better?

Clearly the DTC 70 is the way to go. However with the brake rotor temps from 580-680F it's clear that a VERY high performance brake fluid would be needed for any real track use. What would Steeda reccomend?

Hawk will be coming out with dedicated track brake fluid here in the near future. For this test, we used Motul RBF 660, which is also available on our website. www.steeda.com/motul-101667-mustang-brake-fluid

Cross drilled and slotted rotors are a waste of money.
